** Speaking of directors, his role as a director has placed him at odds against the Conductor and DJ Grooves for some reason, with the two seeing his films too braindead, in response he told how both of each other's rivalries doomed their own studio. The two admitted how his statement was sort of right and also agreed that some of their directing was in need of improvement. That was until they made another response if Bay had earned any awards, only to feel disgust when they realized the only awards he has ever gotten were the UsefulNotes/GoldenRaspberryAward, not a good impression there.

*The Iraq War is raging on and a bomb squad is sent to find and defuse any bomb they can find throughout the volatile war zone. Sergeant First Class William James is part of the team, having replaced the squad’s previous leader that was killed in action. Despite James’ expertise in defusing explosives, his recklessness in the battlefield causes friction between him and his squad mates, not helped by the horrors of war that they witness and the fact that they’re unable to successfully defuse every explosive they can find. As chaotic as things are during war, James is unable to have a meaningful life outside of it and when the time comes to step into the battlefield once more, he’s more than willing to accept that challenge.
*James’ return to duty brought about some new soldiers who had to follow him around and put up with his recklessness. Things reached a breaking point after the squad encountered another person with a bomb attached to their body that was about to explode if nothing was done about it. When James and his squad tried to defuse the bomb, it turned out that it was much more elaborate than what they were used to and some wrong moves sped up the countdown. The squad was forced to retreat before the bomb and its owner exploded, causing a blast that knocked James unconscious. When he later woke up, he found himself in a hospital and while getting his injuries treated, he learned that the other members of his team either got killed or badly injured that forced them out of the battlefield following the earlier explosion. It was then that he saw a book next to his table that talked about various kinds of explosives and it didn’t take long for him to realize that after fully recovering and reading that book, the battlefield of war that he was used to has greatly expanded in ways he didn’t think was possible.
*Among the additional types of explosives that James had to contend with were Bob-ombs, sentient bombs that would activate when someone is nearby and not only came in different types, but had their own leader in King Bob-omb. It was one thing to deal with bombs strapped onto another person, but individual bombs that could activate when someone is close to them and follow their victims around before blowing up wasn’t something that he was used to. While the Bob-ombs and their king had their own superior that they work for, James figured that these kinds of weapons would be involved in the more unusual battles that take place and utilized by others. Attempting to defuse these Bob-ombs would likely be a challenge for James, but given how he lives for the danger that happens in war, it’s a challenge that will be interesting for him.
*For the most part, James knows how to handle explosives, but while many other experts on explosives tend to use them as weapons, it’s James’ job to prevent such bombs from going off. He would end up learning about other people who know how to use explosives and it led him to encounter Tina, a girl who he thought was a bit young to use such dangerous tools regularly. Tina didn’t appear to be that bothered by his concerns about using bombs and she had been through a lot worse. That said, she wasn’t going to deny that there was a difference between using explosives for well-intentioned reasons (more or less considering her manic disposition) and for trying to harm others, including people that Tina cares about. While Tina already has another explosives expert in Brick that she got along and worked with (and Brick didn’t mind James that much after Tina explained who he was to that Vault Hunter), she doesn’t have a problem with hanging out with James and has talked to him about different kinds of bombs that can be a challenge to his line of work.
*It didn’t take long for him to learn that plenty of bombers did not have the same kindness that Tina had. For every dangerous bomber out there who would set up bombs that James would have to defuse, there were just as many who would use explosives that would have far shorter time limits and can go off just as quickly with one wrong move by anyone who would try to defuse it. Fighting against terrorists and insurgents in the Middle East was challenging enough as is, but there were plenty of bombers with far more intricate weapons and methods of carrying out chaos that would be way more difficult for James to go up against. Finding terrorists and insurgents isn’t James’ greatest strength and while he is able to shoot them easily if he is able to find them, it’s very likely the same thing won’t be accomplished against bombers with more detailed plans and explosives that are more difficult to defuse, if they can be defused to begin with.
*There would be plenty of other American soldiers James would learn about, many of them coming from time periods before his own and having their own methods and weapons they use. While James is not completely insane or traumatized compared to some of the other soldiers that have taken part in war, he’s just a bit unstable for others to notice that there’s something wrong with him. Despite being good at defusing bombs for the most part, his recklessness has gotten him complaints from other soldiers for putting others in more danger than necessary and even a few believe that James needs to get away from the battlefield before his mental state gets worse. James Ramirez, a soldier who has done plenty in war, has done the best he can to keep Sergeant James in check while in action, with James regarding Ramirez to be a good partner to regularly work with. Besides Ramirez, James has worked with Team Metal, John Price, and John Mactavish, the latter two being British soldiers and James seeing them as somewhat similar to (and being a bit more effective than) the British military contractors he and his team previously encountered.
*One other US soldier who took part in war within a Middle Eastern region was Martin Walker, who exhibited a similar kind of instability as James, but the end result of such ended up being much more devastating for everyone involved. Walker’s desire to be a hero resulted in a lot of deaths and it resulted in him being called out on it by many others. James’ desire to be part of war despite being aware of the negative effects of such has gotten him in trouble with other US soldiers and in some ways, Walker is what could happen to James if his already shaky mental state becomes worse. Walker did eventually understand the severity of his actions and while James’ actions aren’t anywhere near as bad as what Walker had done back then, there’s still a sense of unease on what could happen to James the longer he remains at war.
*Since James took part in the Iraq War and fought against terrorists that were residing there (even if he and his squad weren’t able to confront them directly), he found himself having to fight against other terrorists from the Middle East that had far bigger plans than his previous enemies. Khaled Al-Asad was one such terrorist from the Middle East who was willing to overthrow his government in the name of war and was involved with insurgent warfare. Al-Asad also has a pair of Russian backers in Vladimir Makarov and Imran Zakhaev who have access to different types of bombs that not only includes the ones that James would have to defuse, but also nuclear bombs that can endanger the US if they get launched. They collectively posed a threat to those in the US to the point where James really can’t afford to make a mistake in trying to thwart their operations and that being unable to find them would only give these terrorists more time to pull off their plans.
*During his time in Iraq, James befriended a young street urchin who sold pirated [=DVDs=] and played soccer. There were insurgents who implanted bombs inside young boys to carry out attacks and him witnessing one such kid being used by bombers as a weapon upset James enough that he couldn’t bring himself to talk to the aforementioned urchin upon learning the latter was still alive. As much as James gets some thrills out of war, the dangers of such still can still rattle him. One of the more extreme methods of taking part in war as utilized by the more horrific warmongers is forcing children to become soldiers of war whether they want to or not, and it was something that James would not like at all despite his willingness to jump into war.
*Even with the promise of living a peaceful life away from chaos, James prefers to live for the dangers of war despite (or maybe even because of) the risks involved. He was far from the only person to have this mindset of willing to go in harm’s way and he also wasn’t the only US soldier to believe that. Lieutenant Colonel William Kilgore took part in The Vietnam War and in addition to being a skilled military commander and a fan of surfing, enjoyed taking part in the war despite all the chaos that came with it. Kilgore saw James as someone like him when it came to wanting to take part in the war regardless of what happens and even considered him a friend. James returned the sentiment, though some are concerned that Kilgore could be a bad influence for him even if Kilgore has mostly given him advice on how to be better on the battlefield when it came to matters outside of bomb disposal.

* Marvin the Martian is a member of the Martian army, dedicated to one singular goal: the total obliteration of Earth. Often armed with a doomsday device, his assistant K-9, and an often absurd reason for Earth's attempted destruction, Marvin attempts his goal with a considerably blase attitude towards it, politely explaining it to his enemies and rarely emoting even when challenge. Thankfully, being a Looney Tunes villain, his attempts at total destruction often fail miserably thanks to the interference of one Bugs Bunny, who constantly runs into Marvin and thwarts his schemes to save his home, albeit with a bit more challenge than usual. Occasionally this role is outfitted instead by Daffy Duck under Duck Dodgers of the 24th and a Half Century, being sent to thwart the Martian's attempts at conquest. In general, when Looney Tunes needs a big villain, Marvin's usually the one to fill in the role, always ready to try and destroy/conquer the world (and often failing. Again, this is Looney Tunes we're talking about).
* While many of The Pantheon's expected Marvin to show up at some point, considering he's a core member of the Looney Tunes cast [[BreakoutVillain even if he didn't start that way]], Marvin didn't bother waiting to be ascended and arrived himself on behalf of the Martian army to conquer The Pantheon. What ensued was what you'd expect from an attempted scheme from Marvin at this point: Bugs Bunny conveniently shows up, Marvin explains his destructive scheme to him, Bugs objects and the two get into a spat, hilarity ensues. Things got even more chaotic when Daffy, in his Duck Dodgers persona, showed up after hearing of the Martian's arrival, resulting in what only can be described as "WesternAnimation/RabbitFire but in space". After Marvin was inevitably foiled (and Daffy's dignity was once again shattered), he was offered a spot in The Pantheon, which he accepted after finding out there are other evil aliens that would prove useful n aiding him. Since then, he's started focusing back on destroying Earth once and for all, saving the enslavement of The Pantheon for afterwards.

Since then, he's started focusing back on destroying Earth once and for all, saving the enslavement of The Pantheon for afterwards.
* Despite the previous mentions of his shortcomings as a bad guy, make no mistake: he's more threatening and dangerous than your average Looney Tunes bad guy thanks to his highly destructive goals and blase attitude towards carrying it out, being one of the few antagonists in the series that can be properly
called a true KnightOfCerebus, still having "evil". As such, he doesn't have much in the way of allies from his own comical foils. And home world and is opposed by most of the cast, though he only really considers Bugs and Daffy to be his enemies: everyone else is just a inferior lifeform to him. Daffy in particular is someone he's done battle with multiple times and generally comes off as more competent there and even managed to win once, though mostly because Duck Dodgers is much more bumbling than Bugs is. There were a few times after ascending where he teamed up with Yosamite Sam to kill Bugs, but only when he wasn't trying to destroy earth as [[EvenEvilHasStandards even he thinks Judge Doom is nuts]], Sam isn't fond of the idea]], and would never think even then their contrasting personalities have ruined multiple attempts to kill Bugs.
* Now, Marvin was far from the first Martian to end up in The Pantheon, hell he isn't even the only evil one. A few species
of committing genocide on toons.
* Works
nefarious Martians from alternate universes were also present: The ''Mars Attacks'' Martians are a bunch of sadistic jerks who wanted to destroy humanity [[ForTheEvulz because they thought it'd be funny]], the White Martians are a race of bloodthirsty warriors and the sworn enemies of the Green Martians, and the Mars People were aliens that teamed up with an earth army before betraying them so they could take over Earth. Generally Marvin gets along swell with them, especially the ''Mars Attacks'' ones as their goals just so happen to line up with his alien dog, K-9. He (destroy earth) and has a collection of seeds which when a drop of water is applied, become bird-like Martians(though they also seem to live on Jupiter) to help him out. Trying to stock up on more explosives in order to help his cause, and he's found Wat Tambor to be an excellent supplier of weaponry for his cause.
* [[WesternAnimation/DuckDodgersInTheTwentyFourthAndAHalfCentury Is around in the 24th and a half century]], where he opposes Daffy Duck's future form of Duck Dodgers. They were battling over Planet X for its shaving cream atom. [[spoiler:It ended
happily helped out with their plans. On the planet being destroyed]]. [[WesternAnimation/DuckDodgers He also serves as an enforcer to subject of good Martians, one of the Queen of Mars]]. Has become well aware of Buck Rodgers, and considers him a bigger threat than Daffy.
* Not the only
aformentioned Green Martians, Martian in the Trope Pantheon. Having embraced planet Earth as Manhunter, naturally wasn't too keen on Marvin trying to obliterate his new home, J'onn J'onnz does not tolerate and so from time to time the two can be found in a scuffle.
* Other, non-Martian aliens have a more mixed opinion on Marvin, mostly because of
his desire obsession with exploding Earth conflicting with their own goals of simply conquering earth. Of course, for some "conquering" is in quotations here: take Orbulon for instance, an alien who came to destroy earth to take it over, but ended up living there while working as an employee at Warioware Inc. He still claims to be taking over earth, just really slowly. Naturally he finds Marvin to be an obstacle towards his plans, albeit while also thinking that [[EveryoneHasStandards outright blowing up the world is a step too far]]. Zim is another invader living on earth with plans to conquer it, though he's simultaneously more proactive and even more incompetent at it somehow. Marvin just thinks he's a disgrace to aliens like him and thinks he's an idiot who fails all the time ([[VillainHasAPoint Fair]]), while Zim at least knows that, if Earth is destroyed, he can't deliver it to the Tallest and sees Marvin as a threat. With all that said, they both agree that Zim's Mars engineering their planet into a spaceship was a dumb move on their part.
** Marvin does, however, have respect for galactic conqueror Zinyak for not only being willing to blow up Earth, but actually ''succeeding'' in doing so after kidnapping a sizable population of Earthlings to put in a simulation. What confused Marvin however was that Zinyak very much loved Earth culture despite his egotistical personality
and often foils made sure to persevere as much culture as he could find before blowing up Earth. Marvin generally considers Earthlings to be inferior to Martians in every way despite being repeatedly proven otherwise, so this came as a shock to the Martian. Zinyak himself doesn't mind the Martian's company and is genuinely impressed with his plans. technology, even if his track record for actually using the damn things is pretty groan-worthy. If nothing else, he finds it fun to debate the worth of Earth culture with him to kill time.
* Obviously even Marvin knows that most of The Pantheon's residents won't just let him blow up Earth, so his schemes happen within The Pantheon's outer space area far away from most of them. What he somehow forgot was that more than a few of them defended the cosmos as well, and so his first attempt was interrupted by The Guardians of the Galaxy, who proceeded to whup his ass ten days to Sunday, albeit not without a fight from the Martian and his zany technology. His next attempt was slightly less lopsided, as it consisted of a team-up between heroes Earthworm Jim and Captain Quark, coming in to stop Marvin and save Earth. Well, okay, Jim was there to save Earth: he actually dragged the cowardly Quark with him to stop Marvin and Quark spent most of the fight struggling with the Instant Martians. Afterwards Marvin would continue to encounter these heroes, only with Duck Dodgers accompanying them, which actually worked in
Marvin's attempts at favor as his bumbling tends to hinder his allies more than Marvin.
* Of course, one does not talk about Marvin and his goals without mentioning how he carries them out, which brings us to his laser cannons. Most of them are powered by a Illudium Q-36 Explosive Space Modulator, which despite looking just like normal dynamite can power a laser capable of
destroying the Earth are further foiled due to Sailor Mars being at his doorstep, who also thinks he gives the planet a bad name.
* He is opposed by the Doctor, who's even more capable of outwitting and tricking him as well as Bugs can. Really anyone who values Earth sees him as
an enemy, and the Imperium of Mankind is an enemy entire planet. Marvin really can't handle. He stays ''far'' away from Holy Terra.
* When trying
himself adores his laser beams, to blow up the Earth point that when he thought his favorite one wasn't enough, working, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fnKV3Hvd5ac he attempted to be more legal about it and tried to put HumanityOnTrial so he could have it destroyed. his devices, and Marvin is usually happy to get a paycheck from him whenever [[Pantheon/{{Transformations}} Frieza]] isn't hiring them, give out some Space Modulators. Currently he's bargaining with doomsday device experts, The Evil Geniuses, on whether they can use the cannons themselves for their own nefarious hostage situations, and occasionally is currently interested the most in Red Ivan, who wants to use one to vaporize any country that stands in his way. Marvin has them battle the Monstars (not that there's any hard feelings towards the two groups). There's some understanding between him and Zim about being funny aliens, though it's an OddFriendship figures that, considering Marvin's quite competent relative the man's intelligence, he'll end up destroying Earth on accident, and so is happy to him...though given Zim lost Mars, this relationship is contested.
* Though antagonistic,
arrange for that.
** Surprisingly, he ended up becoming allies with former designer of the Death Star, Orson Krennic, simply because of the Death Star itself, which
Marvin is still found to be a toon thing of beauty. Turns out Marvin bothered to ask around enough to learn that Krennic was the real creator of the Death Star and [[EnemyMine will team not Tarkin, who stole all the credit and left Krennic to die at the hands of some rebels. Krennic himself, sociopathic as he is, didn't think much of the Martian due to his faliure streak... up until he learned about how his devices could destroy whole planets, just like the Death Star, and got the idea of working with him to make a new space station to rival the others when toons are threatened]]. other small-time villains who want some helping hands and don't just want Goombas again. When asked why he was doing this, he simply replied that building lasers is expensive and a Martian like him's gotta eat (again, fair).

That said, if they're threatened as a group Marvin is likely to join anyways, more specifically against the [[BoomerangBigot toon-hating toon]] Judge Doom. It's unknown if Marvin genuinely thinks Doom's vile even by his standards or [[PragmaticVillainy he's just trying to save his own hide]], but either way he's firmly opposed to the maniac. Another time, this one just contained to the Looney Tunes, he and Bugs more-or-less lead an effort to thwart Dr. Frankenbeans, who wanted to erase their ancestors as revenge for childhood teasing from them, with [[Pantheon/{{War}} Ares/Mars]], even if they have Marvin personally joining in on a similar fashion sense.
