Although only referred to once again in the series itself (in [[Recap/DoctorWhoS22E1AttackOfTheCybermen "Attack of the Cybermen"]]), {{fanfiction}} and the ExpandedUniverse have frequently played with what Zodin could be, with everything from an evil MonsterOfTheWeek to a terrible meal the Doctor once had been suggested.

* Similar to Zodin, there been several explanations outside the TV series about what the Perigosto Stick the Doctor mentions in "[[Recap/DoctorWhoS10E5TheGreenDeath The Green Death]]" is. You can't trust a Venusian Shanghorn with one, you see.
* In "[[Recap/DoctorWhoS11E5PlanetOfTheSpiders Planet of the Spiders]]", it's mentioned that the Brigadier once somehow earned the gratitude of a woman named Doris. * The "daisiest daisy" monologue in "[[Recap/DoctorWhoS9E5TheTimeMonster The Time Monster]]" is an extremely rare glimpse into the Doctor's childhood on Gallifrey (a house halfway up a mountain, near where an old hermit lived under the tree). The events he describes took place on "the blackest day of my life" — but he never actually mentions ''why'' he felt so depressed. As of "[[Recap/DoctorWhoS34E4Listen Listen]]", however, we ''may'' have been given a clue — [[spoiler:fear of being forced to join the army, since no one thought he'd make a Time Lord.]]
