While the actual essay isn't ever shown or read, it is represented metaphorically with a TearJerker story about an abandoned kitten who gets washed into the ocean by a storm, but is rescued by a heroic sailor named Georgie (implied to be a HeroicSacrifice), and is finally adopted by a recent widow. It is explicitly stated that this is ''not'' the story the essay is telling, but, since it turns every girl who reads it into a [[OcularGushers blubbering wreck]], the feelings generated are clearly the same.
