* [[AllThereInTheManual The second Sound Stage]] of ''Anime/MagicalGirlLyricalNanohaStrikerS'' had [[WrenchWench Alto]] and the school toilet incident back when she was seven and thought she was a boy ([[IHaveBrothers only having brothers probably had something to do with that last part]]), which she always interrupted before anyone could elaborate.

* Tsuda, of ''Manga/SeitokaiYakuindomo'', writes an essay for the school paper. While the actual essay isn't ever shown or read, it is represented metaphorically with a TearJerker story about an abandoned kitten who gets washed into the ocean by a storm, but is rescued by a heroic sailor named Georgie(implied to be a HeroicSacrifice), and is finally adopted by a recent widow. It is explicitly stated that this is ''not'' the story the essay is telling, but, since it turns every girl who reads it into a [[OcularGushers blubbering wreck]], the feelings generated are clearly the same.

Shizuru notes that when she heard Natsuki's distress signal, she rushed to the scene as quickly as she could, only to find the two girls [[LesYay in a "most improper" position]], at which point Natsuki angrily cuts her off and tells her to "forget about it" before she gets to the juicy parts.

** A variation occurred where the NoodleIncident in fact happened immediately when it was first mentioned, but never elaborated on: In "The Battle of the Badge," Giovanni, while chewing out Team Rocket for supplying him with a Togepi (ironically, despite it being a rare pokemon, he had no interest in it whatsoever), he received a call from someone, only to react with shock and horror, and demanding when it happened, before departing quickly and having to abdicate his position as Gym Leader to the trio, before departing from a fake wall, and then telling his mystery pokemon (Mewtwo) that he has an emergency assignment for it before unleashing it. Exactly what happened was not really explained.

* ''KaitouJoker'' subverts this trope by allowing the audience to find out the events of "that summer" and why he doesn't like dipping sauce, but not Hachi, who was just as curious as the audience to find out about the Noodle Incident which came up in dialogue.

* In ''Manga/KoufukuGraffiti'', Shiina mentions that she spends time with her family and that crazy things go on at her house in episode 9 as to why she wouldn't be spending time with Ryou and Kirin. However, it's never seen nor mentioned what exactly goes on there.

** Done in the Abridged series. Tristan is possessed by the Big Five in the virtual world and picks up a pipe to attack Kaiba with. The others arrive and tell him to put it down, with Joey telling Tristan to 'Remember the incident with the scissors!'

* ''KaitouJoker'' subverts this trope by allowing the audience to find out the events of "that summer" and why he doesn't like dipping sauce but not Hachi who was just as curious as the audience to find out about the Noodle Incident which came up in dialogue.

** Cilan and his incident with a Purrloin that was mentioned in one of the ''Best Wishes'' episodes. It made him terrified of all Purrloin.

* In the ''Anime/DragonBallZ'' episode "Free the Future", the one where Trunks defeats Androids 17 and 18 after returning to the future, Android 18 is blasting something angrily while also refusing to talk with 17 for killing a little boy that "she thought was cute." It's never actually shown what happened, although the father of the kid [[PapaWolf attempted to avenge his child]] and failed miserably and nearly got himself killed before Trunks arrived (anime) or was killed by the time Trunks arrived (manga).

** When Byakuya activates Senkei against Ichigo, Byakuya mentions in passing this is only the second time he's ever let someone see Senkei. What happened the first time has never been explained.

* In ''Anime/GirlsUndPanzer'', the volleyball team was disbanded under unknown circumstances during the previous academic school year, and its members, now second-years, join the tankery team in the hopes of reviving it. It's never revealed what happened to it, but it's possible that it's related to [[spoiler:budget cuts and Oarai being on the brink of being shut down]].

** From Britannia's perspective, the Battle of Itsukushima which gave Tohdoh his title Tohdoh of Miracles. It marks Japan's only victory against Britannia during the Invasion and is never explained how it comes about, just that the Britannian military still remembers it with [[NeverLiveItDown bitter regret]]. Whether or not [[ExpandedUniverse future fluff]] will reveal anything more on the subject remains to be seen.
