* Unlike various series, this one doesn't romanticize Bruce's mutation into the Hulk in the slightest. Bruce's life has been completely ruined by his hidden powers, and he's been marked an international fugitive. The only reason he survives his adventures is due to transforming into the Hulk in times of need. The Hulk transformation is also clearly painful, and the BodyHorror it inflicts on Banner is excruciating every time he transforms. Not to mention, the entire might of the US military is constantly hunting after Banner to kill him, and if that wasn't enough, his arch-enemy the Leader is constantly after him to steal his powers to rule the world.
* The Hulk himself is nightmarish to most people despite his good intentions. His primal rage and nigh-limitless strength is boundless, he roars a VoiceOfTheLegion and anyone who tries to control him quickly learns its downright impossible after some time. At one point, the Leader gained control over the Hulk's body but his sheer rage overpowered the Leader's mind and nearly made him kill them both by viciously pounding a nuclear reactor. It takes Betty appealing to him/Leader to get him to calm down, and thereby saving not only the Leader's life, but everyone in the base and the state they were located in. When the Hulk gets angry enough, anyone's life, including his own, is fair game.
* For a kid's show, it shows what happens when one transforms into a Gamma Monster and it is NOT pretty. The Leader's Gamma Warriors, Zzzax, the Sasquatch, and even Gargoyle had this in effect. Although Dr. Samson's and Jennifer Walters' transformations were kinder since theirs doesn't look as painful and become examples of SexierAlterEgo, much of the time, mutating into a Gamma Monster means becoming a monstrosity that will eventuality overwrite your mind.

* The Ghost Rider, albeit a strong example of CreepyGood, is visually horrifying due to his flaming skeletal body, bike wreathed in Hellfire that burns the guilty, ghostly voice, and ability to see the sins of others by looking them in the eye. After seeing him in his first appearance, one can see why he never got his own show.

* Unlike various series, this one doesn't romanticize the status of being the Hulk in the slightest. His Hulk condition has made Bruce's life a complete shambles as a fugitive, the only reason he survives his adventures is due to transforming into the Hulk in times of need. The Hulk transformation is exceptionally painful and the BodyHorror it inflicts on Banner is excruciating every time he transforms. Not to mention the entire might of the US military is constantly hunting after Banner to either kill him or make more Hulks!
