Not to mention, everyone is acting like they have no memory of what happened and are having a party, even Fred and Velma. However, Daphne immediately notices something is wrong when one of the partiers' eyes briefly turns green, and is quick to back away from the dude as casually as possible. And when Shaggy and Scooby try to ask Fred what happened, he and the rest of the partiers attack, revealing they're all possessed by the Creatures.

** The girls' fathers are for the most part really friendly monsters and don't seem like the types who would easily hurt anyone but however don't make them angry because they do warn Shaggy and Scooby that if they faile take care of the girls when they come back they'll get very angry and might hurt Shaggy and Scooby, the most scariest moment is when Tanis' father grabs Shaggy and Scooby by their necks and warns them that they'll meet a very mad mummy as his eyes glowed bright red making it clear to them that they should do their best or it's going to be curtains for them!

** Shaggy being trapped in the mirror can be this for some because there is no way to get out of there. It's a good thing they brought Matches along to scare the Mirror Monster Shaggy or otherwise Shaggy would've been trapped in that mirror forever!

But the strongman reveals that he not only heard them, and demonstrates what he'll do to them by effortlessly twisting his barbel like a pretzel. This is not just the usual greedy Scooby villain; this guy intends to straight up ''murder'' the gang.
* Fred and Velma's prank in the New Scoooby Doo Mysteries is actually kind of creepy (especially since the audience finds out it was a prank at the same time Scooby, Shaggy, Scrappy, and Daphne do) Imagine on Halloween night, you're out with your family, your friends, your boyfriend, girlfriend, whatever, and there are these two strangers "hiding" in a dark alley, and begin following you as soon as they see you pass by. Almost as if they knew you were going to walk by there beforehand. And then they wait until you're inside, and then they burst upon the most simplehearted, vulnerable member of the group, the least involved in Halloween spirit...who is understandably terrified...and only then is it revealed to be just them.
** But then, fitting with the nature of the Halloween Special, they transform into a mature viewer's worst nightmare: Unexpected Guests who Abbruply Invite Themselves into your Group and Throw Your Carefully Made Plans for a Special Night Into a Talespin by Thoughtlessly Hijacking Them, Hogging the front seats of their unsuspecting hosts' car, and so much more. * Spooky Island in general is pretty... eerie. There's the symbols everywhere that are based off the demons and the whole place just has a sense of dread. It's like a Halloween-based theme park that completely forgot everything was supposed to be fake.
