Prometheus was always going to provide a large slice of BodyHorror given that it's set in the same universe as ''{{Alien}}'', and that H.R. Giger returned to deliver new nightmares to the masses:

* The [[HellIsThatNoise edit of Audiomachine's]] [[AwesomeMusic Judge and Jury]] for the trailer alone applies, complete with a {{Drone Of Dread}}, the sirens from ''{{Film/Alien}}'' and {{Psycho Strings}}.

** Not to mention if you already had a crippling fear of [[EverythingsSquishierWithCephalopods squid and octopus]] before seeing this film. Getting attacked by an alien squid? Bad. Finding an alien squid buried in your abdomen, and having to cut it out yourself? '''[[ItGotWorse Worse.]]''' Cutting it out, and then being stuck in a tiny plastic coffin with said alien squid while it thrashes around wildly just inches away from your face? [[BringMyBrownPants GAH!]]

** There's also the sudden swelling of her stomach, combined with sound effects. As someone who's had the experience of gaining 40 pounds in a year, having acid reflux once, etc., that scene was just... bad memories.
