While the humor of this movie is [[DenserAndWackier much sillier]] compared to [[WesternAnimation/DespicableMe1 the first movie]], the actual plot can get [[NightmareFuel pretty dark]] at times.

They end up cornered by them, no way out...and when the camera cuts to the swarm, there's a Minion in front licking its lips.
