Cleanup. About character traits/moments being exaggerated. Misused as not character, RL as opposed to characters, and fails to explain how fans exaggerate.

* ''WesternAnimation/GravityFalls'' fans will probably never let [=WatchMojo.com=] live down their "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rkWmtGX2qyo Top 10 Hated Disney Animated Shows]]" list, in which ''Gravity Falls'' was included for the vague reasoning that it seemed to skew older than most Disney shows. They would rescind on this years later, opening the show's entry on their "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4oPpDjU9W3s Top 10 Cartoon Shows of the 2010s]]" list by asking viewers to pretend that previous judgement call never happened.

* One of the reasons ''WebVideo/TheMysteriousMrEnter'' is so divisive around the internet is for his early reviews, where he insulted the creators, constantly brought up ''WesternAnimation/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagic'' unprovoked, and got really loud at times. Even after expressing regret towards his earlier reviews and even redoing some of them, the internet still won't let him forget.
** See also: His mention of 9/11 in his video for ''WesternAnimation/TurningRed''. His original point was that the movie felt rather detached from the historical context of the time, but many detractors latched onto his specific example of 9/11, joking that he wanted Mei to react to the towers falling. The wave of reactions, arguments, and memes that stemmed from it solidified it as part of his legacy.

* As part of a month-long theme centered around ''Series/ThePriceIsRight'', Cyndi (formerly Robert) Seidelman of ''Website/GameShowGarbage'' inducted "[[HePannedItNowHeSucks Those Golden Fanbois Who Live Down The Road On The Internet]]" as a huge TakeThat towards Golden-Road.net's fan base. This cemented Seidelman's reputation as a FanHater, and it got her into so much trouble in the game show community that she had to tone down the review the very next day. She still has a hard time living this down, going as far as [[OldShame removing the induction from the site]] in September 2017.

* Women's wrestling website ''Website/DivaDirt'':
** Melanie, one of the original writers, for the first two years on the site couldn't live down her obvious dislike of Wrestling/CandiceMichelle - which could get petty at times, lest you think this was Candice fans being sensitive. One especially petty moment was when she mocked Candice's short haircut, which happened when she donated her hair to Locks of Love. Not helping matters was Melanie's only defence being that it was her blog and she was entitled to her opinions. Once the site started getting noticed by female wrestlers, Melanie and co wisely reigned in more antagonistic writing styles.
** Melanie's other fellow writer Erin for ages couldn't live down how often she got the names of moves wrong - when she was a wrestling journalist. She would frequently complain about Kelly Kelly doing "variations of a Frankensteiner" and even calling a victory roll a "reverse Frankensteiner" (two extremely different moves; the former is a pin, the latter is an impact move often used as a finisher).
* Youtuber WebVideo/{{Oxhorn}} is known for his ''VideoGame/{{Fallout}}'' lore, settlement build and mod review videos. However, he had attracted some [[FlameBait flame worthy controversy]] over some minor lore inconsistencies between the older isometric ''Fallout'' games and the newer 3-d games, as well as for [[MisBlamed wrongly blaming]] Creator/{{Obsidian}} for a texture issue caused by a mod conflict. It was during this controversy that an old (circa 2009) video surfaced of him fat-shaming a teenager. Oxhorn has publicly apologized for that video, but this will most likely remain with him for quite some time.

Needs to explain how an unfair exaggeration.

** WebVideo/ToddInTheShadows will never live down his serial inability to predict the careers of pop stars. Someone he thinks will have a great career often bombs out, a song he expects will stick around suddenly disappears, and an artist he predicts will fall off the map becomes a huge star. Todd himself has said "Toddstradamus strikes again!" numerous times regarding this, and [[HilariousInHindsight/ToddInTheShadows there's an entire page devoted to predictions that he got wrong]].

* Creator/GavinFree of Creator/RoosterTeeth has never truly lived down his lack of vehicular knowledge that culminated in two words that have never left the minds of even his most loyal fans: "Headlight Fluid". It probably doesn't help that it's also an early joke from Rooster Teeth's flagship series, ''WebAnimation/RedVsBlue'', making it even easier to remember.
** It also doesn't help that the "Headlight Fluid" animated adventure ended up as an ad on Website/YouTube, with the individual video garnering over 2 million views.
** Caleb earned the ire of fans everywhere when, during one of the "LetsPlay ''VideoGame/{{Minecraft}}''" episodes, he cheated by looking on the screens of the other members.
** There's also Ryan's two memetic moments "I'm still in the air!" and "Give me your milk!"

* Out of all countries, Indonesia has the worst reputation among [[WebVideo/HitlerRants Untergangers]], in no small part due to controversies surrounding [=Hanif837=] (who has been referred to by other Untergangers using such corruptions of his name as "[=Arsesniff837=]", "Failnif", and "Hanfail" since his fall from grace with the Downfall Parody community).

* Anita Sarkeesian of ''WebVideo/FeministFrequency'':
** Even the site itself playfully mocks Anita for her first video where she got Creator/JossWhedon's name wrong. For one thing, she calls him 'Josh'.
** To this day, she's still remembered for her numerous research mistakes or misrepresentation of certain topics (classing ''Film/FiveHundredDaysOfSummer'' as a straight ManicPixieDreamGirl film is often mentioned) - alongside her claims that the videos were "double and triple checked".
** She can't live down her infamous claims regarding ''VideoGame/WatchDogs'' where she generalised all gamers as misogynists who would be sexually aroused by depictions of violence towards women.

* Dylan Guptill, better known online as [=Guptill89=], is a modestly popular commentary channel who became famous for having some rather controversial opinions for the late 2000s, especially in regards to angry video game reviewers like ''WebVideo/TheAngryVideoGameNerd''. What is he known for nowadays? His [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3XwXguUCIo8 joke video]] on the "Top 10 Hottest Female ''[[Franchise/SonicTheHedgehog Sonic]]'' Characters", which was torn to shreds almost immediately upon release due to being [[PoesLaw mistaken as genuine]]. It did not help that some of the characters on the list were canonically [[PaedoHunt underage]]. To his credit, Guptill has stated that he was unaware that the characters in question were minors, which contributed to him taking down the video (as well as videos talking about it, which triggered a StreisandEffect for both the video itself and the critiques). Nowadays, a reupload of the video is the first result when searching up his channel name on Website/YouTube (beating out the channel itself and its videos), and quotes from the video (namely "The size of an average human mother" and "Hot chick heaven") have become [[Memes/SonicTheHedgehog memetic]].
