* Since ''Choro Club'' are not that active from 2011 onwards, you can still listen to ''ko-ko-ya'', a trio or Shigeharu Sasago, the Choro Club guitarist, and his two female collaborators on violin and clarinet. Their music is more jazzy and less chaotic than Choro Club, but overall they are a nice band to drink coffee to. You may have heard their music in such anime series as Manga/IkokuMeiroNoCroisee and Manga/RistoranteParadiso, and if you recall the overall vintage atmosphere of both series, you may already guess what their music would sound like.

* Remember Music/ChoroClub, a band that made awesome, luscious soundtrack for the anime versions of Manga/{{Aria}} and Manga/YokohamaKaidashiKikou? Well, they are not your typical one-hit wonder. They have been there fron 1990, and released a lot of albums in their distinctive style. Too band they are not that popular even in Japan, so NoExportForYou galore. But then, one Japanese man [[https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCtWVaODk6wbEWi750tq-3fA put a lot of their musiс on YouTube]], so now you can enjoy more of their collaborations with various Japanese and Brazilian singers, other instrumentalists and even a big orchestral album with Hattori Takayuki, the man behind some of the music in Manga/{{Slayers}}.

** A huge percentage of their fanbase is Polish, due to them making several songs about awesome badass deeds that Poland has accomplished, especially during WorldWarTwo. In the fandom, it's a RunningGag that 40:1 is the unofficial Polish national anthem. They also have a big German fanbase and a large Scandinavian fanbase. They aren't very famous in the Anglosphere. Fortunately, this is changing as they did their first ever tour to the United States in the summer of 2012.

* MachinaeSupremacy has a loyal underground following and positive critical reception to their studio albums.... but that's about it. They can't seem to gain any real significant fanbase and their record company, while supportive of their music, doesn't want to take a lot of risks with them. Because of this, they've never toured outside of Europe and only recently started touring outside ''northern'' Europe.

* The Acro-Brats are an excellent punk band that most know from their song "Day Late Dollar Short," which is in RockBand. They're quite talented and deserve a listen. Just look them up on Youtube.

* By the standards of [[IdolSinger Idol Singers]] with connections to the Creator/DisneyChannel (although she doesn't record on a Disney-owned label), Creator/EmilyOsment may count. Since 2009, when she first started seriously pursuing a singing career, she's released a mini-LP, a full length CD and a number of songs for soundtracks, all of which have had relatively modest success compared to, say, the Hollywood Records-signed MileyCyrus, SelenaGomez or the JonasBrothers. [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LEJlyyyAlDE&ob=av2e Her]] [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G1pjTRmGPhs&ob=av2e songs]] [[{{Earworm}} are ''insanely'' catchy]] [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jauthmokKWk&ob=av2e and]] [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3NOotunFktU well-written]], [[GenreRoulette in many different styles]], and she has a unique way of presenting her songs in music videos. Her full-length CD, the techno-dance-flavored ''Fight Or Flight'', was produced by Nellee Hooper and features songs co-written by Adam Schlesinger of Music/FountainsOfWayne. Osment is a very talented live performer with a low-key, but exciting live show. She also plays guitar, co-writes most of her music and has a very good singing voice. Many music fans and journalists not normally interested in TeenPop have enjoyed her music, she does have a following, but has yet to really catch on in the mainstream. Unfortunately, perhaps because she's signed to an AlternativeRock music label (Wind-Up Records, which signed Music/{{Evanescence}}) not known for promoting pop acts, and she has no Disney shows to cross-promote as of 2012, she winds up (no pun intended) under the radar.

* The [[MoralGuardians moral panic]] of a (relatively) [[HotterAndSexier sexier]] MileyCyrus in cleavage-revealing clothing in the video for the title track took over much of the publicity for her third full-length studio album, ''Can't Be Tamed''. Rather than the steamy, explicit, sexual/profane album many in the media painted it as, the album is a catchy, well-written, honest and heartfelt techno-inspired work filled with ''motivational'' songs like the pro-gay rights anthem "My Heart Beats For Love", "Liberty Walk", which asks those in abusive situations to stand up for themselves, and the title track, which asks men not to exert control over women or hold them down as people. "Permanent December" (an ode to loyalty to a man over temptation), the thoughtful "Who Owns My Heart", and personal ballads like "Take Me Along", "Stay" and "Scars" are also worth checking out. The profanity is only found on the title song ("go to hell"), and the word "sexy" is in "Permanent December", but that's as racy as it gets.

* [[https://www.youtube.com/user/it0ki/featured Itoki Hana]]. Seriously, she has done amazing remixes of [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vcplJy3itmo video game music]], and has created her own [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sol5PqfkDiE original]] [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zPAZtSj_DiU songs]] as well. Her original songs are beautiful, and her singing voice and musical talent are simply amazing. She's a good artist as well, as she draws the art on her videos herself. She has released two albums containing two songs so far. She's also bilingual, as she's sung in [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8QSCafDXdVs English]] before.

* Nothing More are a really cool metal band with a unique sound, fast-paced rhythm, and great usage of electronic sounds. Go check out their songs "This Is The Time (Ballast)", "Mr. MTV", and "Jenny" to hear their best work.
