''Little Creatures'', released in 1985, is the sixth album by Music/TalkingHeads. Their first album after the massively acclaimed ''Speaking in Tongues'' tour and associated [[Film/StopMakingSense concert film]], this one eschews the blend of PostPunk and afrobeat that ''Music/RemainInLight'' and ''Music/SpeakingInTongues'' previously established in favor of a more stripped-back blend of AlternativeRock and CountryMusic. Consequently, there were fewer guest musicians compared to the band's previous two albums, with most of the songs played by the core group, though percussionist Steve Scales (who played on ''Music/SpeakingInTongues'') returned for this album. ''Series/SaturdayNightLive'' saxophonist Lenny Pickett also appeared here.

* CessationOfExistence: "Road to Nowhere" is about how there's no afterlife, making life just a "road to nowhere", and how that's perfectly fine because it's the journey that counts.
