* [[OneSteveLimit One Steven Limit]]: Well, there's only one Steve, but there are two Joes: Joe Perry, whose birth name is Anthony (Joseph is his middle name), and Joey Kramer, whose birth name is, in fact, Joseph. To people who don't know the band, this can get a little bit confusing.

The band also starred in two video game thus far: the ''Midway'' mounted-gun game ''RevolutionX'', and a ''GuitarHero'' game with their namesake. Apparently, they have made more money off ''GuitarHero: Aerosmith'' than they have off any of their albums. As of early 2010, Steven Tyler has left the band due to treatment for painkiller addiction and surgery on his legs and the band are looking for a replacement. However, Tyler's lawyer has sent the band a cease-and-desist letter threatening legal action if they don't stop the search for a replacement singer.

* IAmNotShazam: Steven's name is not Aerosmith. This is only really a problem in people that aren't fans of the band or only know Steven as the judge from AmericanIdol. It's still a pretty bad idea to call Steven "Aerosmith" around fans of the band, though.

* CatholicSchoolGirlsRule: The "Crazy" video features Alicia Silverstone and Liv Tyler in Catholic schoolgirl uniforms at the beginning.

** Tom Hamilton, by extension, looks quite a bit younger than fifty-nine. Brad Whitford also falls into YoungerThanTheyLook; a few people apparently believe he's the oldest when in reality he's the youngest member of the band by two months (behind Tom). Joey Kramer is the only member who actually looks his age (though this is also arguable, a personal friend of this editor's thought he was in his late forties or so when he's actually 60).
* PerpetualFrowner: Joe Perry. He smiles in a handful of pictures floating around out there. Steven Tyler is the exact opposite.

** Though judging by about a fifth of the comments on their videos on Youtube, some fans would disagree on the "ugly guy" part.

* MsFanservice: Alicia Silverstone for three videos ("Crazy", "Amazing" and "Cryin'").
** Liv Tyler was another Ms. Fanservice in the Crazy music video. Yes, Steven Tyler put his own daughter in a music video as fanservice.
