*** "Let's Kill Hitler" shows that the writers are well aware of Rory's badass status. Not satisfied to have him [[spoiler: punch Hitler in the face without hesitating]], this exchange confirms that Rory can simply do whatever the hell he wants: "Can you ride a motorbike?" "I expect so. It's that sort of day."

Not satisfied to have him [[spoiler: punch Hitler in the face without hesitating]], hesitating and then punch a robot in the face ''WITHOUT EVEN NOTICING,'' this exchange confirms that Rory can simply do whatever the hell he wants: "Can you ride a motorbike?" "I expect so. It's that sort of day."

-->'''Amy''': You think you'll just come back to life?
-->'''Rory''': When don't I?

*** That "Yes, of course we'll help." is sent by not just one person, alien, planet or group. But by a trillion, ''trillion'' separate entities, all willing to do anything to save The Doctor.

* [[Series/GameOfThrones Tyrion Lannister]] has become the audience favorite of the show, and eventually started receiving this treatment. Slight aversion however, as it's not for his fighting prowess or manliness, but what a ''legendary'' smooth talker and bullshitter he is.
** [[Creator/CharlesDance Tywin Lannister]] can cure dyslexia through [[ImplacableMan sheer persistence]]. He also gives bollockings to an AxCrazy who's [[TheBigGuy nearly a foot taller than him]]. In addition, he is [[SurroundedByIdiots singlehandedly]] waging a war with in-universe MemeticBadass Robb Stark.
*** As is [[LittleMissBadass Arya Stark]], who is able to answer back and hold her own in a DeathGlare contest with the aforementioned Tywin. She's ''twelve''.
** Jaime Lannister is an in-universe example of this, at least until he got beaten by Robb Stark, which (as mentioned,) got Stark his own reputation as this.
** Stannis the Mannis. A sizeable portion of the fandom loves him for his actions during the episode "Blackwater". Said actions include a brief yet awesomely effective pre-invasion speech to his men ("Come with me and take this city!"), being the first to storm the beach and the first to breach the city walls. Further compounding his badassery, Stannis had to be dragged away from the battle by his men when enemy reinforcements showed up. Scenes such as him [[spoiler:defeating a much larger Wildling army also help.]]

*** Amusingly, in the ''[[Series/StarTrekTheNextGeneration TNG]]'' episode "Relics," Scotty admits to [[ForcedMeme forcing this meme]] himself by routinely overestimating his repair times so he could reliably get the work done ahead of schedule. Kirk, to his credit, ''did'' call him on it a couple of times in the TOS-era, but Scotty blatantly admits it to fellow engineer Geordie LaForge. He also, apparently, wrote lower-than-necessary safety standards for starship equipment; presumably for similar reasons.
