* AmbiguousDisorder: Carol acts very clueless about a lot of social conventions that should be obvious even to a very rich, very lonely girl. She reacts weirdly to emotional situations, and has NoSenseOfPersonalSpace. Finally, we learn that for all her apparent stupidity, she is actually an ace in the game Othello, which she seems a little obsessed with, as well as mathematical and scientific subjects. While none of those traits by itself is quite so alarming, the combination of them has led some people to wonder if she might be on the autism spectrum.

* BattleAura: Tomo sports one before the inter-class sports tournament. Jun joins in.

This gets particularly evident with the festival arc, where [[spoiler:Tomo ''herself'' doesn't confess to Jun again, even in a setting perfect for it, because she doesn't know what she wants exactly from Jun with a romantic relationship]].

Rather than Jun being completely clueless, a flashback shows that when he ''finally'' realized that Tomo was a girl, he started having feelings for her...only to [[OutOfContextEavesdropping overhear her telling her classmates that they're]] JustFriends. This seemingly caused him to give up on any romantic interest in Tomo, which of course was followed by ''her'' developing feelings for ''him''.]]
