Say... have you heard about Sakamoto?

He is Gakubun High School's first year freshman student but, more importantly, he is cool- no, he's cooler... nay, Sakamoto is THE ''coolest'' guy around. His every single motion is filled with grace enough for a dozen {{Bishounen}} characters. He's soft-spoken but filled to the brim with confidence. Despite his cool demeanor, he will never hesitate to help those in need. No wonder that after starting school, he became the center of attention. [[EstrogenBrigade The girls love him]], but in turn, the boys ''[[GreenEyedMonster hate him for it]]'', [[InferioritySuperiorityComplex constantly plotting]] [[DrivenByEnvy to upstage him]]. However, no matter what tricks the other boys try to play on him, Sakamoto always manages to foil them with ease, moving through his high school life with confidence and class like no other.

''Haven't you heard? I'm Sakamoto'' (坂本ですが? Sakamoto desu ga?) is a comedy manga series and debuting work of Sano Nami, which started serialization in 2011 and concluded in 2015. In 2016, Creator/StudioDEEN produced an AnimatedAdaptation, which debuted in [[Spring2016Anime April]].
----
!! This series provides the examples of:
* TheAce: Sakamoto is good at everything. ''Everything''.
** He even scores 120% on his health education exam! [[note]][[FreezeFrameBonus "His sexual knowledge surpasses that of a teenager"]][[/note]]
* AnAesop: Each story segment will have Sakamoto fix some sort of problem or event, by which becomes a lesson his antagonists would have to learn.
* BlatantLies: When Sakamoto announces that [[spoiler: He's moving away]], he tells his class mates that he's been selected for a space program in America. This may have a grain of truth in there somewhere, [[spoiler: at least on the moving overseas part]].
* ButNowIMustGo: The very end of the series has [[spoiler: Sakamoto transfer out of Gakubun High to move to America, this will probably be the last time he sees his Japanese classmates.]]
* DefeatMeansFriendship: In a different sort than usual. Rather than outright fighting, every antagonist tries to make Sakamoto do something that would knock him down a peg. Instead, something will happen that the antagonist cannot overcome and needs Sakamoto to defeat. In witnessing this coolness, they see just how cool he is and, while not necessarily becoming a friend, certainly sees why he's so cool.
* DemonicPossession: A fox spirit possesses Sakamoto during a Kokkuri game gone wrong and demands Kuronuma and the other girls build a large arch for him. It's clear Sakamoto was just pretending so the girls could put their differences aside and become friends.
* DrivenByEnvy: This is the motive that drive most of the antagonists to compete, or go against Sakamoto.
* FriendToAllLivingThings: Sakamoto goes to great lengths to save a bird that had been blown away in a storm while they were trying to outpace each other and is seen visiting it in later scenes. When a wasp invades the classroom, everyone is scared and hoping for someone to kill it, but Sakamoto just tells it to behave, skillfully fends it off with a compass, catches it and puts it out of a window.
** When his classmates in a home economics class find a slug in some lettuce, he at first seems to [[AvertedTrope avert this track record]] by putting on a show of sprinkling salt and other seasonings on the slug until it disappears... then proves that was just a feint by then carefully washing the slug off and putting it outside with a gentle admonishment for choosing a bad spot to "play hide and seek".
* FunnyBackgroundEvent: When Sakamoto's classmates were unconfident with their cultural fest presentation by using only balloon sculptures, Sakamoto proceeded in covering one of the balloon sculptures behind curtains, making it look like a realistic yeti silhouette. [[KillerGorilla Aina]] was so convinced, she [[GoodOldFisticuffs demands a]] ''[[BeastlyBloodsports brawl]]'' with it. A few moments later, when the class rep was encouraging the whole class to make more sculptures, Aina was shown climbing the curtain with the yeti sculpture to dictate it while her two friends tried to pull her down.
* GoroawaseNumber: Hayabusa's name is written as 8823.
* MeetCute: Various versions are averted and deconstructed. When the girls sit around, reminiscing of how they met Sakamoto the first time and talk about the typical shoujoesque way of interacting (potentially touching fingers when picking up a dropped eraser, being caught in his arms upon falling, [[UmbrellaOfTogetherness sharing an umbrella in bad weather]]), they admit that nothing like that happened.
** And then down right Parodied with the last story, which had his friend tell him the story of how Sakamoto met him when he lost his bandaid and [[HomoeroticSubtext put it back on his finger]]. Neither of the boys make a big deal of it, but the girls all agree that this was the most romantic meeting of them all.
* MrFanservice: It's quite common for Sakamoto to be presented sexy or appealing in some way. The first chapter had him [[ItMakesSenseInContext dash around a fire with his shirt open]] and several panels are dedicated to showing Sakamoto's chest and hips off, as he's changing into his part-time work clothes.
* MundaneMadeAwesome: This is the core to what makes Sakamoto THE coolest guy around, and ''it's not a joke''. See that cover image up there? ''He's playing pool with chalk!''
** Walking to school on the sidewalk is for commoners, he walks on ''walls or fences!''
** ''He stylishly rips his convenient store onigiri for lunch!''
** When he's standing in the hallways holding water buckets for punishment, ''he poses as if it's for a fashion magazine.''
** In order to save a bird in the rain, ''[[ParasolParachute he flew through the sky!]]''
** His desk and chair got thrown out? No problem! ''He'll just open the window and sit stylishly on the windowsill.''
*** Alternatively, if his chair gets pulled out from under him just as he's sitting down? He'll sit down ''on thin air'' instead of falling over.
** He can ''[[ItMakesSenseInContext swordfight with a bee]]'' using a tracing protractor.
** Through the [[AfterSchoolCleaningDuty brooms]] of Sakamoto, "ceiling dust turns to [[RomanticRain snow]]," ''[[MoodDissonance and it's the most beautiful scene you'll ever experience!]]''
* ParodySue: The whole plot is revolving about how Sakamoto is "the coolest" and has no imperfections due to the fact that he does everything as ridiculously-stylish as possible.
* RichSuitorPoorSuitor: One arc is about Hayabusa's father trying to seem rich so a woman would consider marry him. [[spoiler:Subverted when the woman in question turned out to be a con artist who was planning to mug him]].
* RunningGag: Acchan, KEN KEN, and Mario unenthusiastically playing ball at their school field.
* SliceOfLife: It may seem ordinary for Sakamoto himself, but definitely ''not'' for everyone else around him.
* SmokingIsCool: All JapaneseDelinquents in Sakamoto's school are smokers, and this story does bring up real life issues of illegal underage smoking among school children; some portrayed in this story are cool, some are [[SmokingIsNotCool not cool]], to discourage this idea to the viewers, cigarette packages used in this story all came with the [[FreezeFrameBonus label]] of "[[DoNotDoThisCoolThing Underage Smoking is Forbidden by Law.]]"
* TitleDrop: Right as Sakamoto is about to leave school [[spoiler: for the final time]], the gym teacher sees Sakamoto and asks who he is. Of course, he responds with "Sakamoto desu ga." ("I'm Sakamoto, you know.") while he's trying hard not to [[TenderTears bawl his eyes out]].
