The story, like the OAD, gives more closure to the cast and follows them through their school year. Later still, another sequel manga titled ''Masamune-kun's Revenge: Engagement Chapter'' was serialized. This follows Masamune moving onto college in a separate school from Aki, and his romantic misadventures there.

Masamune flat-out feels this way about her after she drags Yoshino and Neko to her home and has them help her prepare dinner.
