** At various points it's mentioned that the school has a high suicide rate from the many students who just can't keep up, to the point one of the teachers bragged he could get away with murdering a student by making it look like another suicide. Considering [[SadistTeacher students are literally tortured if they score too low]], it's not a surprise.
** [[ClosedCircle The school is isolated in the mountains and surrounded by a forest inhabitated by murderous ninjas]]. Satan's Toenail concludes ''immediately'' that Kekko Kamen ''has'' to be from the inside, and already in the first chapter he has the female students investigated for someone with her body type.
*** While Satan's Toenail doesn't think that Kekko Kamen may be a member of the faculty, as soon as it's pointed out he thinks of Keiko Natsuwada, the female PE teacher who not only has the right body type but is known to be a skilled martial artist and capable with the nunchaku, two skills shared with Kekko Kamen.
*** When the various suspects are proven innocent more than once Satan's Toenail starts thinking about a [[spoiler:CollectiveIdentity]]. He's right, he just didn't suspect [[spoiler:there were ''six'' Kekko Kamen (and had never suspected two, though one of them was defeated and unmasked)]] until he saw it in the GrandFinale.
** As mentioned above, Sparta Academy, supposedly the best school in Japan, has a rather high suicide rate that includes students murdered by the teachers and passed as suicide. [[spoiler:The Ministry of Education and the police have started wondering about it and sent Kekko Kamen to investigate, and in the GrandFinale Kekko Kamen's evidence was enough to order the school to be shut down]].

* InternalDeconstruction: At one point, Kekko's habit of launching herself at the enemy genitals first gets her struck ''hard'' there by a female opponent who wasn't distracted by it.

* ThemeMusicPowerUp: Kekko Kamen’s entrance is always accompanied by her theme song playing (yes even in the manga), somewhat parodied in that everyone can actually here the song in universe.

** Taken UpToEleven with one judo instructor whose fighting technique involves (and by that we mean consists entirely of) groping his female opponent's breasts.

** This franchise is infamous for this trope and this trope alone. Kekko Kamen is never seen except in the nude -- wearing only a mask, boots, and gloves. Taken UpToEleven in the last chapter of the manga: [[spoiler:not only do all six sisters don the "costume" of Kekko Kamen at the same time, but practically the ''entire'' female student body strips down to fight the bad guys.]]

* HotterAndSexier: For a series that has it's whole premise centered around fanservice, the games for the PC-98 manages to take this UpToEleven by making it straight up [[{{HGame}} pornographic]].

* RealityEnsues: Satan's Toenail and the disciplinary teachers bragged more than once that nobody would look in the death of a student because there's a high suicide rate due the enormous stress. In the GrandFinale it turns out that not only the police and the Ministry of Education ''had'' started wondering why the apparent best school in Japan had such a high student suicide rate, [[spoiler:the Kekko Kamen sisters were actually investigating for them, and they've finally obtained a ministerial decree to shut down the school]].

* CanonForeigner: Ms. Gestapako, Mr. Schwartzen and his tanned biceps, the killer android and the ronin were created for the OVA.

* SchoolNurse: Kaori Wakatsuki.

** The various [[VillainOfTheWeek Villains of the Week]] are thinly veiled parodies of the characters of various manga, anime, film series and telefilm, including [[SelfParody Nagai's own]] ''[[SelfParody Harenchi Gakuen]]''. Then in the GrandFinale Nagai threw away any pretense of subtlety and introduced Super Golden Batman, who flat-out admits he's the son of the GoldenAge ComicBook/{{Superman}}, Theatre/GoldenBat, and ComicBook/{{Batman}} (even Kekko Kamen is weirded out when he meets him).

Compare and contrast ''Maboroshi Panty'', another manga illustrated by Go Nagai and serialized in ''Shonen Jump'', which had a heroine who helped her father fight crime by wearing only gloves, boots, a scarf and two pairs of panties (one worn over her face like a mask) and featured Kekko Kamen's nemesis Satan's Toenail in the third volume.

* RedHerring: In the first episode Chigusa Yuka was implied to be Kekko Kamen, but the second shows them interacting. [[spoiler:Actually {{Subverted}}: as any manga reader knows, Chigusa Yuka it's actually two twins that [[CollectiveIdentity share the identity]]]].

** Chigusa Yuka [[spoiler:or rather the twin sisters Chigusa and Yuka]], Koichi Omote, Keiko Natsuwada, Kaori Wakatsuki and Kei Kurenai share the same body type, eye shape and color, and eyebrows, with all of them except Kaori being suspected to be Kekko Kamen at least once. [[spoiler:[[CollectiveIdentity They're sisters who share Kekko Kamen's identity]].

* DefiledForever: When [[TheBaroness Ms. Gestapako]] straps a girl to a giant swastika naked from the waist up, destroys her panties with knife throwing without destroying her skirt, and then turns the swastika, threatening to send her upside down, flipping her skirt and exposing her lower half for the whole school to see, the victim becomes terrified that nobody will ever marry her after having that happen to her.
