* In ''VideoGame/{{Miitopia}}'', when Miis camp out for the night, there's a chance a shooting star will appear and the Miis begin to make wishes on it; this initiates a mini game where you have to help one of the Miis' wishes come true by tapping the same wish bubble three times in a row before the star reaches the other side of the top screen. Once decided, a chest drops from the sky, as if the star granted their wishes, and you receive whatever you wished for; either gold, HP bananas, MP candy, or monsters. For the Nintendo Switch port, due to the lack of a duel screen, the player can simply choose what wish they want to come true, but they still have to do it before the star disappears.

** In the Switch port, if you send two Miis on a Stargazing outing, they might see a shooting star in the sky; the two Miis make a wish on the star to be closer with one another. There's also an alternate version where the left Mii wishes to be closer with a different Mii, which leaves the first Mii bothered.

Subtrope to MakeAWish. Not to be confused with CueTheShootingStar, which is more about the aesthetic of a shooting star then making a wish though they can overlap. See also CosmicMotifs.

* ''StoryOfSeasonsAWonderfulLife'': During the winter Starlight Concert, shooting stars will come across the sky. You can then wish on one for either a little money, to be close to everyone in the valley, to be closer with your date (in the first year), be closer with all the marriage candidates (first year, if you go alone), to be closer to your family after you're married, to recover stamina, or to push your kid towards taking over the farm.
