Strangely enough, the bleep effect often makes the joke funnier than if the swear word had actually been used (thus forming the premise of CensoredForComedy comedy). This is particularly true when it's used to cover up a ClusterFBomb. This is likely because profanity is often a mundane occurrence in real-life conversation, whereas loud incongruous bleeps are not. Unfortunately, it can have [[{{Narm}} the same effect on scenes that are supposed to be serious]].

* ''Film/JusticeLeague''. After a STAR Labs' janitor is kidnapped, a TV reporter interviews the guy's wife... who delivers a ClusterFBomb targeted at the kidnappers. The TV channel had to bleep her swearings and blur her mouth... which happens each two or three words. Even after it's muted, you can see the channel [[FunnyBackgroundEvent in the background]], the lady having her mouth blurred for several seconds straight before she finally stops.

Later on after Daffy loses at a game, he says the word again, thinking it's a word to use when angry. After Granny tell them not to use the word, they have to spend the rest of the episode dealing with anger in another way. The word itself is censored by a "squeak-squeak" sound.
