She's known as Captain Carter instead of Captain America (and has the British Union Jack instead of the US flag on her shield), but fulfils the same role. Steve still becomes a hero, this time as the pilot of the "Hydra Stomper" Iron Man.

** The aptly named ''[[https://archiveofourown.org/works/34680223/chapters/86345518 Family Swap AU]]'' swaps the roles of the Aquatos and Zanottos, turning Lili into the hero of the story who seeks to join the Psychonauts due to a desire to be with people more like her while Raz is the son of the head of the organization.

** ''Fanfic/SashaAndTheFrogs'' is an ''WesternAnimation/{{Amphibia}}'' fanfic in which Sasha ends up with the Planters (who curb her ManipulativeBitch tendencies and make her more humble), while Anne ends up at Toad Tower (where she's shaped into an vindictive warrior by Grime).
** ''Fanfic/ATheoryOfButterfliesAndOtherInsects'' also sticks Sasha in Wartwood with the Planters. However, it's ''Marcy'' who gets taken to Toad Tower, while Anne finds herself in Newtopia instead.

* The ''WesternAnimation/HowToTrainYourDragon'' fanfic ''[[https://www.fanfiction.net/s/11268606/1/Dragon-Souls Dragon Souls]]'' features Astrid as the one who was taken away by dragons at the age of three, while Valka remains on Berk. * The ''Manga/SpyXFamily'' SeriesFic ''[[https://archiveofourown.org/series/3003702 Roleswap Damianya Brane Rot]]'' has Anya as the [[AgeLift adult]] talented spy of [=WISE=] while Loid is her school-age adopted son who, unbeknownst to her, is an esper. Meanwhile, Damian is Anya's [[MarriageOfConvenience fake husband]] but also takes Yor's canon role of an assassin from the organization Garden.

The spinoff is released alongside each Light Novel from the third onward, and has more than 150,000 words, being considered a MorePopularSpinoff among the fandom. While Laurel is ostensibly the main character, both Oliver and Sara get plenty enough focus themselves.

This leads to a number of changes, including Oliver/Laurel being the OfficialCouple (with no hopes of Olicity ever happening), Laurel being able to reunite with Oliver before he returned to Starling City and Sara becoming a detective during the five years they were gone. While the story itself starts off with StationsOfTheCanon, eventually the smaller changes begin building up to larger changes, leading to increasingly different outcomes for canon events.
