* ''Clifford's Really Big Movie'' was released seven months after the death of Creator/JohnRitter, who voiced the titular character.

** Also happened to Ricky Garduno, one of the Webcomic/DummComics co-founders who worked on the show as a storyboard artist during seasons 10 and 11. Of the 13 episodes he was credited on, only two came out when he was still alive; the rest were broadcast posthumously.

* Creator/JeanPierreCassel passed away in 2007, ''Film/AsterixAtTheOlympicGames'' came out in 2008.

* The 2011 computer-animated Franchise/LooneyTunes short [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rQlTud9mc8k&t=138s "I Twat I Twat a Puddy Tat"]] (shown before ''WesternAnimation/HappyFeetTwo'') and 2012 animated short [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RJynH1Ky_hI&t=173s "Daffy's Rhapsody"]] (shown before ''Journey 2: The Myterious Island'') had Creator/MelBlanc reprising the roles of WesternAnimation/SylvesterTheCatAndTweetyBird and WesternAnimation/DaffyDuck via archive audio from Looney Tunes albums from the 1950s. Only Creator/BillyWest (WesternAnimation/ElmerFudd) and Creator/JuneForay (Granny) were able to provide new dialogue in both shorts.

* Creator/JoeRanft died in 2005, before the releases of ''WesternAnimation/{{Cars}}'' (for which he was a writer, co-director, and the voice of Red) and ''WesternAnimation/CorpseBride'' (for which he was an executive producer).

* Pixar gave a similar posthumous credit to Creator/PaulNewman reprising his role as Doc Hudson in ''WesternAnimation/Cars3'', released almost ten years after his death, with his performance consisting of unused dialogue from the [[WesternAnimation/{{Cars}} first film]].

* The ''WesternAnimation/SpongeBobSquarePants'' episode ''[[Recap/SpongeBobSquarePantsS9E2PatrickManGarysNewToy Patrick-Man!]]'' came out 4 months after Creator/ErnestBorgnine's passing on July 8th, 2012, making it Mermaid Man's final speaking role.

* Creator/LanceReddick is set to pay Zeus in the upcoming ''Series/PercyJacksonAndTheOlympians'', which he completed before his passing in March 2023.

* Creator/NatalieWood [[DiedDuringProduction died during the production]] of ''Film/{{Brainstorm}}'' on November 29, 1981. The film came out in 1983.

* Creator/RayLiotta died in May 2022. One of his final films, ''Film/CocaineBear'', is set for release nine months later in February 2023.

* Brian Goldner, the late [=CEO=] of Creator/{{Hasbro}}, is credited as a producer on ''Film/DungeonsAndDragonsHonorAmongThieves''. The movie is set to release almost a year and a half after his death.

* The 2022 animated adaptation of ''Literature/DiaryOfAWimpyKidRodrickRules'', had Ed Asner providing the voice of [[Literature/DiaryOfAWimpyKid Grandpa Heffley]]. The film was released to Disney+ on December 2, 2022, two years after his passing.

* Similar to the above example, the 2013 Disney animated short ''WesternAnimation/GetAHorse'' (shown before ''WesternAnimation/{{Frozen|2013}}'') had Creator/WaltDisney, Marcelite Garner, and Billy Bletcher reprising their roles as WesternAnimation/MickeyMouse, WesternAnimation/MinnieMouse, and WesternAnimation/{{Pete}} for the short. While the short almost relied entirely on archive audio, Creator/RussiTaylor was brought in to record three lines for Minnie Mouse. Pete's non-recycled dialogue for the short was also provided by Will Ryan.

* Creator/LanceReddick passed away just one week before the release of ''Film/JohnWickChapter4'', where he reprised his role as series regular Charon.

* Creator/UnshoIshizuka voiced the narrator in the anime adaptation of ''LightNovel/UlyssesJeanneDArcAndTheAlchemistKnights'', which premiered two months after his death from esophageal cancer.
* The final four episodes of the ''LightNovel/ChromeShelledRegios'' anime adaptation were broadcast shortly after production coordinator Tetsuya Koiso's death.

* Creator/TakeshiShudo, who wrote ''Anime/PokemonTheFirstMovie'', is credited as a writer for both ''Anime/PokemonIChooseYou'' and ''Anime/MewtwoStrikesBackEvolution'', despite his 2010 death.

* Albert Jenic finished recording his lines for his InkSuitActor character in the ''WesternAnimation/TeenTitansGo'' special ''Where Exactly on the Globe is Carl Sanpedro?'' shortly before he passed away. The episode wound up airing eight months after his death.

* Creator/MiguelFerrer passed away in January 19, 2017. ''WesternAnimation/TeenTitansTheJudasContract'', in which he voiced Deathstroke, was released three months later. In an eerie coincidence, his involvement in the film was announced on the same day he died.

* Creator/AlanRickman died in January 2016, four months before the ''Film/AliceThroughTheLookingGlass'' was released. So, even if his role is voice-only, [[BillingDisplacement he's billed third overall (two above]] [[Creator/MiaWasikowska the actress playing the title character!).]]

* Creator/CarrieFisher passed away in December 2016, almost a year before the release of ''Franchise/StarWars'' Episode VIII: ''Film/TheLastJedi'' in December 2017. The end credits include a dedication. She's also present in ''Film/TheRiseOfSkywalker''.

* Zero Mostel passed away in 1977. ''WesternAnimation/WatershipDown'', in which he voiced Kehaar the seagull, was released a year later.

* Animator and director John Hubley worked on two films that were released after his death from a heart attack, ''WesternAnimation/ADoonesburySpecial'' and ''WesternAnimation/WatershipDown'', the first was released 8 months after his death and the latter a year later, he was meant to direct the entirety of Watership Down, but due to his death early in production, the only sequence he directed was the opening with the abstract character designs.

* Voice Actor and radio personality Frank "Dink" Trout voiced the King of Hearts in ''WesternAnimation/AliceInWonderland'', released one year after his death.

* ''More Than Ever'' was the last film with Creator/GaspardUlliel in its cast and will be released after his death (which happened in January 2022 due to a ski accident).

* Creator/DouglasAdams is credited as executive producer for the 2005 film ''Film/TheHitchhikersGuideToTheGalaxy'', which entered production in 2003 - two years after Adams' death.

* Creator/RayLiotta died in May 2022. One of his final films, ''Film/CocaineBear'', is set for release 10 months later in February 2022.
