When she comes back to life, she wanders around kicking ass until she uses her magic to make a GardenGarment for herself. Averted in the anime, where she was preserved in the crystal with her clothes, but she still replaces her clothes with a GardenGarment shortly after being revived.

* In a non-post-death example, in the novelization of Film/Alien the crew of the Nostromo comes out of hypersleep in this state of undress.
* Franchise/Halo novels like Literature/HaloTheFallOfReach show people being naked when coming out of cryosleep, since clothes and skin don't mix well inside a cryotube. The one noted exception are Spartans, who are often frozen in their armor. That said, visual media tends to show everyone with their clothes on for ratings reasons.

He probably didn't die, but he did have a near-death experience that should have resulted in his death, and he woke up without his clothes anyway.
* Claire in , because her clothes had been removed for autopsy. When the branch lodged in the "no HealingFactor if this gets screwed with" part of her brain was removed, she woke up and gave everyone a good scare. * This trope was fully exploited in Crushed: The Doomed Kitty, a now-defunct webcomic by the Webcomic/Supermegatopia brothers. Crushed was a female adventurer, and every time she died (which was often), she'd resurrect at the Temple of Infinite Lives, without all her equipment and clothing. She'd have to go back to her previous body to get it all back, just like in . This also applied to every other adventurer in the comic, and total party wipes were quite common, resulting in a small horde of naked people popping into existence at the temple.

* Dhur of Webcomic/MeatShield is brought BackFromTheDead this way too, in a shout out. He also has lost all body hair, which seems to distress him more than the nakedness.

So when people finally start reviving thousands of years later, they're naked as newborns. Taiju specifically waits to revive his crush Yuzuriha until he can get her statue dressed.

* In Literature/Firefight when revives at the end she comes back sans all clothes which is standard for her method of resurrection. It doesn't phase her at all and David embarrassingly enjoys it for a few moments before she gets some clothes.
