* ComicBook/{{Flare}} has one after Damian Pomegranate [[http://www.heroicmultiverse.com/flare/webcomic/index.php?pn=178 spritzes her with a green liquid]] that [[TheNudifier dissolves her entire costume, including her gloves, cape and boots]]. He mistakenly believed that [[ClothesMakeTheSuperman her powers came from her costume]]; since that wasn't the case, all he achieved was to get an eyeful before Flare recovered her composure and knocked him out.

* Happens to ''ComicBook/SheHulk'' [[ShamelessFanserviceGirl of all people]] during ''ComicBook/SecretInvasion'' when Jazinda once tried teleport Jen to her ship, but only succeeded in teleporting her clothes, leaving Jen [[NakedPeopleTrappedOutside completely naked in front of a cheering crowd.]]

* ''Film/{{Robot}}': PlayedForDrama. Chitti rescues a girl from a burning building while she was in the middle of a bath, and since he's an ArtificialHuman who has NoSocialSkills and thus has no regard for her modesty, he simply dumps her outside the building, right in front of a crowd of reporters with nothing to cover, obviously leaving the girl humiliated. The scene takes a turn for BlackHumor when the humiliated girl then runs away screaming into the street and is run over by the traffic. The incident illustrates how Chitti will remain an inadequate hero unless he can understand human emotions.

* Happens in the animated adaption of ''VideoGame/UtawarerumonoItsuwariNoKamen''. During a bath scene, Kuon senses someone is peeping. She tries to chase after the intruder, but fails to do so. Hearing her annoyed shriek, Haku, who was told not to peek comes out and asks what happened. Kuon, seems to forget that she still has no clothes on, asks if Haku saw something to which he replies that he wouldn't say he saw something before flatly adding, "I see it now," a moment later, causing her to freak out in embarrassment.

* Subverted in the manga version of ''Anime/Cyborg009''. In the story "Heart of the Machine", Nana, a teenage girl who's a mix of BrokenBird and FilleFatale shows up naked save for her stepmother's lacey robe and hits on Albert/004, who is twice her age, and strips naked when [[NotDistractedByTheSexy he doesn't take her bait.]] Despite how Nana willingly took her robe off [[ArentYouGoingToRavishMe in an attempt to taunt him]], since he ''still'' refuses to concede, she covers herself and breaks down crying.

* This happens in ''Manga/MissMachiko'' whenever the main character ends up naked. Considering this happens OnceAnEpisode, it has featured many subsequent freak outs. Although as Machiko is a [[GenkiGirl Genki]] PluckyGirl, her freakouts tend to be a cute pose, her saying [[CatchPhrase "maicchingu!"]] ("Oh, how embarrassing!"), and either smiling or [[MegatonPunch beating the everloving crap out of someone]].

* On an episode of ''Series/FamilyMatters'', ExtravertedNerd Steve Urkel was up to his usual bumbling antics and lurched around a classroom wreaking havoc. He eventually ripped the dress off a HollywoodHomely teacher, leaving her in "granny nightshirt"-type underwear.

* In UsefulNotes/TheGoldenAgeOfAnimation, this was often inflicted on HalfDressedCartoonAnimal characters, like WesternAnimation/DonaldDuck and WesternAnimation/PorkyPig. WesternAnimation/DaffyDuck was also a regular victim, losing his feathers rather than clothes.

* This is played for laughs in ''WesternAnimation/{{Brave}}''. Elinor's transformation into a bear results in none of her clothes fitting her anymore, being a 10-ft-tall, 500-lb beast and all. Bear!Elinor, still a proper lady on the inside, is bereaved by this and desperately tries to cover herself with a bedsheet. When Merida offends her by yanking it away to get her to stop going the wrong way when escaping the castle, Merida angrily hisses "You're covered with fur! You're not naked!".
** After she turns back into a human, her reaction is somewhat similar, but [[JustifiedTrope justified]] this time. She didn't have any clothes on as a bear, so now she doesn't have any clothes on as a human. Good thing Merida has draped that tapestry over her bear self prior to her retransformation because that piece of cloth is all that covers her now. Oh, and she's surrounded by a bunch of rowdy men.

* Marvel Ann (Creator/AmyAdams) suffers this after suffering a humorous ShamefulStrip in ''Film/PsychoBeachParty''.

* A trademark gag on ''Series/TheBennyHillShow''.

* On the 11th episode of ''Series/{{Eastwick}}'' Kat has this reaction when her boyfriend's son walks in on her right after she dropped her ModestyTowel.

* A couple of downplayed examples in ''Series/{{Friends}}''. Dressed in a bath robe, Rachel slightly freaks out for a moment when it accidentally opens. Realising that no-one's around to see her, and remembering Phoebe teasing her earlier, she takes the robe off completely and spends the evening naked in her apartment. The second example occurs as she strips. As a joke, she role pays, pretending to freak out a little.

::Finally the third example occurs when Ross reveals that he saw her. She's only mildly embarrassed, partly because she's already re-dressed by this point, and partly because [[AmicableExes he's seen her naked before]].
** More classic examples occur in an episode where various characters get walked in on while taking showers, including Rachel, Joey and Monica, all of who have the standard freakout. Then Joey's dad gets walked in on by Monica...and far from being embarrassed he appears rather pleased to see her.
* This happened all the time to the woman in the ''Series/KennyEverettVideoShow''.

* In the season one finale of ''Series/NedAndStacey'' titled, appropriately, "The End", featured Stacy (a pre-fame Debra Messing) walking out of her bed room completely naked after a passionate day of lovemaking with her boy toy -- only to be caught by her husband, Ned, and his bosses. Naturally, Stacy's complete and utter sexual humiliation was played for laughs.

* In ''Manga/FairyTail'', during the Grand Magic Games arc, The dragon Zirconis, uses his clothes destroying magic to strip the entire army of soldiers who all run away in embarrassment, and then strips Lucy after she insults him, she is then thrown around naked for the proceeding fight.

* Played with in ''Westernanimation/{{Mulan}}'', where the title character is already naked, taking a bath in the lake, but then some men arrive, making her very uncomfortable given they can [[SweetPollyOliver blow her cover]].

* ''Film/{{Scandal|1989}}'' (1989). Christine Keeler has stripped off for a pool party and is doing a mock 'fan dance', hiding her naughty bits with a couple of ferns, only to realise that some other people are standing directly behind her, causing Keeler to shriek and run off.

* ''VideoGame/MegaManLegends'': Offscreen example in the second game. In one of the boss battles against Tron Bonne, her Gustav explodes and the camera then pans to show Mega Man looking flustered and shocked. Only when Tron asks why his face is all red do the Servbots inform her that her clothes were destroyed, and she screams and berates them for not telling her sooner before calling for a retreat.

A character, through some nonsensical circumstances, is publicly stripped to their underwear [[NudityTropes or less]]. The stripped character, rather than running off to hide, might be shown as temporarily losing their senses, such as [[DeerInTheHeadlights standing like a statue]], screaming, or shooting their hands all over their body to try to cover every naughty part at once.

If the character in question is an [[ReluctantFanserviceGirl attractive female]], then this is usually {{fanservice}}. Otherwise, it is usually PlayedForLaughs, since NakedPeopleAreFunny. When it comes to male examples, [[FanDisservice unattractive]] men are more likely to be on the receiving end than attractive ones are, and this trope could be used to show that the man is "unmanly." He might, for example, shriek and try to cover his [[NippleAndDimed pectoral muscles]].

Note that in order to meet the ramifications of this trope the scenario has to involve a person getting stripped ''through no fault of their own'', either by accident or through the malice of another. The stripping has to be more or less instantaneous and the person has to panic as soon as the exposure is discovered. If any of these criteria are not met, it's a subversion.

Similar to HandOrObjectUnderwear, but in those cases the stripping tends to be self-inflicted or not quite as sudden, and what kids tend to eventually graduate to after gags regarding ComedicUnderwearExposure. * In 2005's ''Film/FantasticFour'', Sue Storm removes her clothes in order to sneak past the crowd on the bridge while invisible, but still learning to use her powers accidentally turns visible again in her underwear in front of everyone. Notably, this is purely an invention of the film, since in [[ComicBook/FantasticFour the comics]] Sue had the ability to also turn her clothes invisible from day one.[[note]]Stan Lee actually ''did'' consider having her powers work that way during the process of creating the characters, but quickly discarded the concept because even though by definition nothing would be shown, it was still too sexualized for a 1960s comic book.[[/note]]

** In fact, ''Film/AnimalHouse'' really got the ball rolling on this trope. Countless [[TheEighties 1980s]] teen comedies have scenes like this shoehorned in: ''Film/Zapped1982'' (where it's pretty much the ''raison d'etre'' of the plot), ''Film/WeirdScience'', ''Film/BetterOffDead'', etc. The trope in a sense came full circle in 1995, when ''National Lampoon'' did it again in ''Senior Trip'' — this time with a young [[AcceptableReligiousTargets Mormon]] entertainer who is stripped of her gown during a riot and left in [[OutdatedOutfit women's underwear that's several decades out of date]].

* In ''LightNovel/HighSchoolDXD'', Rossweisse attempts to stop Issei from entering the girl's locker room while in Kyoto. When Issei inadvertently presses her BerserkButton regarding her lack of boyfriend, it gives him the perfect opportunity to use his Dress Break on her. Then, Rossweisse has an understandable OhCrap after realizing that she's naked and covers herself before lecturing him about how his Dress Break isn't good for the environment.

** In "Drone", B'Elanna Torres is not amused when the EMH calls on the VideoPhone while she's having a shower. She hurriedly covers herself with a ModestyTowel while the Doctor nonchalantly replies he's a doctor and she has nothing he hasn't seen before. She promptly throws the towel on the VideoPhone in annoyance.

* About 50% of the Embarrassed Nude Female fetish, with the other 50 being ReluctantFanserviceGirl. There's also a slightly rarer male version (though it equates to roughly the same thing).
