* The intergalactic mob boss Cordyceps Jones in ''Comicbook/Rocket2017'' is initially shown as a [[LittleGreenMen very small green alien]]. It's eventually revealed [[spoiler: he's even smaller; the real Cordyceps Jones is, as the name suggests, a parasitic fungus that the alien was unfortunate enough to inhale]].

* ''{{Literature/Discworld}}'': A canine example is Big Fido from ''Literature/MenAtArms'', the toy poodle {{UsefulNotes/Adolf Hitler}} {{Expy}} in charge of a gang of much larger dogs.

* In ''Videogame/MouseHunt'' for Facebook, the Nerg Chieftain Mouse is the smallest mouse in the tribe. It's also the most difficult one to catch in the Nerg Plains.

* At the end of level 28 in ''New Yankee in King Arthur's Court'' the "Dark Lord" was uncloaked only to reveal a midget on stilts. Destroying his fortress during it earns you the "Napoleon" achievement.

* Many depictions of UsefulNotes/NapoleonBonaparte portray him this way. Napoleon was actually around average height for a Frenchman of his time period, and would hardly be considered tiny nowadays, but soldiers tended to be larger and burlier than the average man for obvious reasons, causing him to look fairly undersized around his fellow soldiers. This effect was amplified by the fact that he was most often seen around the elite (i.e. larger and taller than average for soldiers) Imperial Guard. He was given the affectionate nickname "The Little Corporal" by his men. Britain, his sworn enemy, seized upon the perception and lampooned him in propaganda cartoons as a [[TheNapoleon midget tyrant.]] [[note]]In French, the word "petit" is usually interpreted to mean "little", but it can also mean modest or thin. The play-on-words was likely intentional among his soldiers (for endearing effect) as well as British propaganda (for slanderous effect)[[/note]] Further confusing issues for the British, Napoleon was 5'3 tall in French measurements, but due to the fact that French feet were longer than Imperial feet this equated to 5'7 in British measurements.

* Probably one of the most dangerous alien targets that the ''Manga/{{Gantz}}'' team has to kill is Nurarihyon, a child-sized old man who is always accompanied by his two monstrous sub-bosses, an angry-looking Tengu and a giant dog wearing Heian Era attire, who are several feet taller than him. Nurarihyon has the highest point count out of all the previous targets and is a shapeshifter capable of transforming into a variety of different forms, including a 50-foot giant made out of WOMEN. He is also nearly invulnerable and has FrickinLaserBeams.

* Eldest Gruff from ''Literature/TheDresdenFiles: Literature/SmallFavor'' is the elder brother of a gruff approximately the size of an elephant, and makes ominous booming sounds when he walks. He's five foot nothing.

* Clyde from the Ant Hill Mob in ''WesternAnimation/WackyRaces''. Slightly subverted in that his henchmen are just as vertically challenged as him.

* Mr. Boss of ''WesternAnimation/CodeNameKidsNextDoor'' is generally considered as the leader of the show's B villains separate from [[BigBad Father]], he's maybe four-five feet tall, as opposed to his averagely tall minions.
* Duke Igthorn from ''WesternAnimation/AdventuresOfTheGummiBears'' isn't exactly short, but most of his henchmen, being ogres, tower over him. He can keep them in line because they all have the collective intelligence of a box of hammers.
* Tong Fo from ''WesternAnimation/KungFuPandaLegendsOfAwesomeness'' is a loris (about the same height as Master Shifu) who is a criminal mastermind and sometimes has the croc bandits as lackeys.
* This ends up revealed of King Nixel in ''WesternAnimation/{{Mixels}}'', who, in reality, is the same size as the tiny minions he rules over, but he hides this through a battle suit.
* ''WesternAnimation/StevenUniverse'': The much-discussed Gem ruler Pink Diamond is revealed in "Jungle Moon" to be completely towed over by the other Diamonds. Granted, she's still [[LargeRunt something like twelve feet tall]].
* ''WesternAnimation/HeyArnold'' has Big Gino, the head of the kid mafia. He's about the same height as Arnold and has goons much bigger than him.
* Downplayed in one episode of ''WesternAnimation/AvatarTheLastAirbender'' where (the female) Avatar Kyoshi tells her side of the story as to her role of Chin the Great/Conqueror, the flash backs are set up to establish Chin as a large and very buff man, until he and Kyoshi meet and Kyoshi is revealed to tower over Chin. He still has an impressive physique and we don't see him standing next to any bodyguards for comparison and Avatar Kyoshi was noted in the episode for being unusually tall for a woman (and hinted that she's one of the physically larger Avatars, and factually stated to have the largest feet of any of the reincarnations). It's still implied that Chin is notably shorter than average, but aside from Kyoshi's boot being larger than a footprint that was attributed to her (but was in fact left by Chin), it doesn't get any comment from Kyoshi, who spoke of him only as a threatening warlord.
* Plankton in ''WesternAnimation/SpongeBobSquarePants'' is the shows most notable antagonist and by dint of the fact that he is literally a Plankton, he is downright tiny compared to the rest of the cast. Many jokes about his size are made throughout the series, though for a plankton in the series, he's pretty average height as the one episode where we meet his extended family, there's a diverse range of sizes (all of whom are still shorter than the rest of the cast and any height differences aren't notable from their perspective).

* ''Manga/OnePiece'': Capone 'Gang' Bege fits this. Former mafia don who became one of the most infamous pirates of the era, and only 5'5.5 tall.

* ''Manga/FullmetalAlchemist'': [[spoiler:Pride]] is in charge of the other homunculi and, excluding Envy's true form (which he'll try to not use whetever possible), is the shortest of them.

Almost invariably TheNapoleon, with a BerserkButton about their height. Or they might have an IronicNickname along the lines of "Mr. Big" -- either they're [[StealthInsult too dumb to notice the irony]], or their minions are {{Professional Butt Kisser}}s stroking their ego. This might be a reference to their sizable [[BigBad reputation and influence]], [[TheBigGuy combat skills]], or [[LargeHam personality]]. Often got their position due to intelligence or deviousness that compensates for their lack of physical threat -- if ShorterMeansSmarter, this guy is a [[EvilGenius genius]].

* In ''Manga/MyHeroAcademia'', the principal of [[SuperheroSchool U.A. High School]] is an 85 cm tall {{Super Intelligen|ce}}t [[ViewerSpeciesConfusion mouse(?)]].

* ''WesternAnimation/{{Ratatouille}}'': The antagonistic Chef Skinner is in charge of a restaurant where all of his employees are about twice his height. In contrast his predecessor was Gusteau, an example of BigFun whom we could safely assume to have been the largest person in the room.

* George "Babyface" Nelson in ''Film/OhBrotherWhereArtThou'' is portrayed as a loner, compared to the real life historical figure he's based on, but is notably bullies the film's heroes into becoming his impromptu accomplices to his bankrobbery that they go along with it out of fear of being demoted from accomplices to victims if they don't. Nelson is notably shorter than the trio and unusual for this trope, is actually rather calm and polite during the whole robbery (his polite request for assistence is how the heroes get into the mess in the first place). While a bank customer's remarks about his physical features does set off his BerserkerButton, the customer is only identifying Nelson as "Babyface" Nelson from the newspaper. Nelson hates the name because he thinks it's not intimidating and doesn't care that he earned it for his notably youthful and innocent looking appearance or his short stature (also true of the real life Nelson). It should be pointed out that calling someone "Babyface" is more remarking on adult man's notably young looking facial features, not his height and can be applied to both short and tall men equally (in fact tall men often get this label as tall guys are often very skinny even in adulthood and can look like teenage boys more than others closer to their age. Men's bodies typically fill out in their early 20s). Nelsons height is never commented on in film, and the only other thing that earns the characters anger is a cow. He really hates cows.
