* In ''Anime/CowboyBebop'', the terraformed planets and moons of the solar system tend to be {{Single Biome Planet}}s, with [[UsefulNotes/TheMoonsOfJupiter Ganymede]] being almost entirely ocean. This was an odd choice, since Europa (at the time the anime was being made, 1998-1999, the only moon of Jupiter ''known'' to have water in real life) was ''not'' depicted this way, instead being mostly land with a prairie-like environment. But in 2015, it was discovered that Ganymede not only has an extensive subterranean ocean, it likely has more water than any other body in the solar system. Thus, if it could ever be terraformed, Ganymede probably ''would'' end up being a water world, with ''very deep'' oceans.

* ''WesternAnimation/SouthParkBiggerLongerAndUncut'' kicks off with the main characters sneaking into an R-rated movie starring their favorite cartoon characters. During the movie's release, there were several reports of underage teenage fans of the show sneaking into the theaters showing the film after purchasing tickets to ''Film/WildWildWest''. Matt and Trey were not happy about this because they hated that film and were mad that they inadvertently helped it make money at the box office.

--> During our interview, I asked the two couples how they came to be in Adelaide and an unexpected link emerged.

--> They told me that in Iran, most people know Adelaide because of a Japanese cartoon series from the early 1980s called Lucy-May of the Southern Rainbow.

--> "In the cartoon there was a family who came to Adelaide from England. They came to Adelaide and settled here, so I can remember Adelaide from my childhood," says Farhad.

--> "They were a family with kids and their neighbour's dog," adds Omid. "And moved to Adelaide by ship."

--> "So," says Farhad, "If you say to someone in Iran 'We are going to Adelaide' they can tell you about that cartoon series as well."
