** This was brought over to Second Edition as the Armored ''Skirt'', playing this trope straighter. It was popularized among the Knights of Lastwall by followers of Falayna, the LadyOfWar goddess. The mechanics are a bit different. It can no longer be worn on its own, and in addition to the ability to add it to lighter armor to make it heavier, it can also be used to replace the parts of heavy armor that cover the lower body, making it lighter.

* One of the more popular low-level mail armor choices in ''VideoGame/WorldOfWarcraft'' is a red and gold version of this. It only appears as a skirt on female models though. On male models it appears as a part of shorts instead. For either male or female models though, this piece is often found in so-called "slut-mogs": suits of armor where the intention is to be as sexy as possible.
