Che opposing shirts "made by capitalism" is a critical research fail. I was originally just going to update it to point out that his image is sold on items that profit large companies he would have opposed but I decided to add a bit more of a history/explainer. I also added a mention of Jim Fitzpatrick's later portrait of Ahead Tamimi as it seemed relevant.

* UsefulNotes/CheGuevara's face has been made the the symbol of rebellious communists. Ironically, it's also been utilized as icon to sell products by capitalism, which Che opposed.

* UsefulNotes/CheGuevara's face Jim Fitzpatrick's monochrome portrait of UsefulNotes/CheGuevara quickly became an iconic symbolism of communist resistance to imperialism in the 1960s. Gradually though it has been made the the adopted as a more broad symbol of rebellious communists. Ironically, it's also been utilized rebelliousness and anti-authority "punk" sentiments in the West where it is now largely seen as icon to sell products by capitalism, which Che opposed.a youth culture cliché.
**More recently, Jim Fitzpatrick made a portrait of Ahed Tamimi who was arrested after defending her self and family from Israeli police. It has gained less traction but nonetheless did serve as a popular symbol for those advocating for Ahed's release.

*** There is an UrbanLegend about when they announced at the Mexico City Theater that France had invaded Mexico at 1839, the audience, out of PatrioticFervor, stand out to sing ''La Marseillaise''. At that time, Mexico still didnt have a National Anthem, and the Mexican audience felt ''La Marseillaise'' was a song about [[UsefulNotes/TheFrenchRevolution heroes fighting for Liberty]], and they felt the song represented them better than TheEmpire France was at that time. It's also important to note that "La Marseillaise" was suppressed at the time by the French government. Authoritarian French governments saw that song as too revolutionary for a national anthem and it would take years before they embraced it.

** Shiny emerald green bracelets were worn by the supporters of the liberal presidential candidate Mir Hossein Mousavi before the 2007 election. When Ahmadinejad's victory was announced and Mousavi was taken into house arrest they became a symbol of resistance, with more serious rebels also wearing green face masks or symbolic mouth-tape during the riots

** The Lion and Sun emblem has been a symbol of Iranian nationalism since it was replaced with the "towheed" in 79. It's probably the only thing Pahlavi supporters have in common with The People's Mojahedin (The People's Mojahedin, despite being communists barely ever used Hammer and Sickle iconography (Mohammad Reza Shah's government was pretty big on the whole RedScare thing) but their version of the Lion and Sun has a Star above it that distinguishes it from the monarchist Lion and Sun)
