In a few minutes of screentime, he tries to kill Bond while the latter is visiting the grave of his dead wife, [[BadBoss kills one of his own men]] and sadistically toys with Bond by [[MurderByRemoteControlVehicle attempting to kill him via a remote-controlled helicopter]]. But when Bond naturally manages to gain control of the chopper by disconnecting the wire which allowed Blofeld to control the helicopter, Blofeld goes into VillainousBreakdown mode, ''[[VillainsWantMercy pathetically]] [[AintTooProudToBeg pleading with 007]] [[DirtyCoward to spare him]]'' (but all he can offer is a delicatessen with stainless-steel fittings), but Bond won't have any and [[AssholeVictim drops him off an industrial smokestack, killing him for good]] and finally getting his revenge for killing his wife in ''Film/OnHerMajestysSecretService''.

* This is the premise of ''Level 1 Demon Lord and One Room Hero''; The Demon Lord was slain by the hero Max, but promised to revive himself. Ten years later, the Demon Lord does revive...as a chibi version of himself. And his nemesis Max has become a bum living in a dirty, one-room apartment. The rest of the series is the Demon Lord trying to help Max get his act together so his vengeance will be fulfilling.

* ''Anime/YuGiOh'': Insector Haga and Dinosaur Ryuzaki (aka Weevil Underwood and Rex Raptor) were introduced as the champions of the Duel Monsters circuit. But their reputations as competent duelists went down the gutter after losing the preliminary rounds to the Duelist Kingdom and Battle City competitions while newcomers [[SensitiveGuyAndManlyMan Yuugi Muto and Katsuya Jounouchi]] replaced them as dueling legends. Now they're brushed off as laughingstocks who can't catch a break.

** Zemerik suffers the worst of it; not long after [[spoiler: Krytus (his original creator)]] leaves him for dead and manages to [[spoiler: free his first ally, Kytren,]] [[spoiler: Krytus]] heads to Zemerik’s homeworld. [[spoiler: Krytus]] then quickly conquers it by turning the Sark army there into Red Sark that are loyal to him. He then proceeds to do the same to the Sark army stationed on the Blue Sentient homeworld, effectively gaining control of ''all of the Sark'' robots, minus Zemerik and Zug. For much of Season 2, Zemerik and Zug are forced to live as fugitives on their own homeworld, scavenging parts to survive and continually running from the Red Sark. Then, in “Get Zemerik”, Zemerik is targeted directly by the Battle Force 5, who intend to use him to create an anti-Sark virus, and the [[spoiler: Red Sentient Force,]] who seek to prevent that from happening. In the end, however, [[spoiler: Zemerik is brainwashed by the Alpha Code, turned into an enslaved Green Sark before being seemingly finally destroyed. Except he wasn’t. He appears again in the epilogue movie “Full Revolution”, still enslaved and used as a soldier for the Karmordials, the antagonists of the movie. At the end of the movie, after Zemerik’s enslavers are defeated, Zemerik is finally set free, and he manages to find and rebuild Zug. The series ends with Zemerik and Zug still at large, and while Zemerik says that they still have much work ahead of them, they’re still without an army and empire, so it’s safe to say that they won’t get far.]]
** The Vandals don’t fare much better. Then, the Battle Force 5 discover the true secret of the Vandal’s strength: [[spoiler: a race of enslaved super-scientist aliens called the Kharamanos. After the Vandals devastated the Blue Sentient homeworld, they forced the Kharamanos to salvage tech from the Sentients and combine it with their own to create the Vandals’ vehicles and the technological side of their arsenal. As Season 2 proceeds, the Battle Force 5 gradually liberate the Kharamanos aliens from the Vandals and return them to their homeworld. Without their slaves, the Vandals, who are hopeless with technology, see their vehicles falling into disrepair, and the Vandal tribes slowly begin losing faith in their warlord, Kalus. To make matters worse, a new ambitious Vandal leader, Grimian, who’s secretly working for Krytus, emerges to challenge Kalus’ position. It all comes to a head in “Rumble In The Jungle”, when the Battle Force and the Red Sentient Force converge on Planet Vandal, each intending to end the threat the Vandals pose once and for all, with Kalus and his Vandals caught in an all-out war against Grimian’s faction and the Red Sark army. The episode ends with ''all'' of the Vandals’ technology destroyed for good, effectively trapping them on their homeworld with no means to travel to other worlds, let alone conquer them. While Kalus does end up taking control of the Vandals’ for good, presumably killing Grimian in the process, it proves to be a PyrrhicVictory. The Vandals’ final appearance is in a single scene in the epilogue movie “Full Revolution”. In it, it’s shown that they’ve been reduced to having horses ferry their vehicles around, as they were chariots from Ancient Rome, with the Vandals looking ''completely'' dejected.]]

** The death of his crew at the hands of Kaido left Gekko Moriah really screwed up -- by the time the protagonists first meet him, he's let himself go and uses others' strength instead of his own to get the job done. Ten years later, the Demon Lord does revive...as a chibi version of himself. And his nemesis Max has become a bum living in a dirty, one-room apartment. The rest of the series is the Demon Lord trying to help Max get his act together so his vengeance will be fulfilling.
