Firstly, saying that arsenic is "our" (i.e. carbon-based life forms') poison doesn't really work. Lots of elements are more toxic to humans than arsenic, like, well, selenium, the aliens' poison. And secondly, the idea of a nitrogen-based life form is just whacked anyway, as nitrogen doesn't form into long chains the way carbon does. Nitrogen-based compounds... well, let's just say the shared syllable in ''Nitro''gen, ''Nitro''glycerine, and Tri''nitro''tolulene [[MadeOfExplodium is not a coincidence]].

* Just, ''Franchise/StarTrek'' in General. The casual misuse and barely held up evidence of what Starfleet call "science", to the viewers are baby-born concepts left at the fire station. Minor Editors and Writers during the early years were ACTUALLY University-passed graduates with strong claim to have the shows logic quadruple-checked. While some were successful in explaining possible Quantum-anything, most fell right through the rotten wood as evidenced with the poor, POOR usage of HumanAliens lineage and evolution in Trek. Modern Viewers will only now watch Trek mostly for the characters and the faction-conflict and not the science-"fantasy".
