* In the ''Videogame/LikeADragon'' series, the business sidequests typically involve the protagonists managing some sort of floundering business for the sake of helping others while also contending with various crooked business rivals, ranging from [[Videogame/Yakuza0 cabaret clubs and real estate]] to [[Videogame/YakuzaLikeADragon venture capitalism]] and [[Videogame/LikeADragonInfiniteWealth resort management]]. While mechanically the minigames are meant to serve as a fun way to earn money, the protagonists are typically motivated primarily by supporting others and get to the top through business acumen and legitimate tactics (with Ichiban specifically being forbidden from outright using company funds for his own use since that'd be embezzlement).

* ''WesternAnimation/VeggieTales'': Zig-Zagged in [[Recap/VeggieTalesEpisode26SheerluckHolmesAndTheGoldenRuler The Asparagus of La Mancha]]. The story starts off with the small café called Café La Mancha owned by Literature/DonQuixote and Pancho, until a major chain restaurant called The Food Factory is built, which is known to be so popular that no restaurant within 50 miles can stay open (and to add insult to injury, it's being built across the street). The manager also attempts to persuade Pancho to abandon the café to work for him. That being said, Don keeps going to bed after eating super spicy salsa that gives him an AcidRefluxNightmare, going crazy, and try to unethically attack the restaurant and everyone it. After Don gets a better night sleep and a bit of rehabilitation, the manager doesn't press charges since no permanent harm was done and is even shown eating at their café when they start opening for breakfast.

* ''Videogame/StardewValley'': The "Good Capitalism" side of this trope is represented by the PlayerCharacter, who has given up a job as a WhiteCollarWorker to pursue the CallToAgriculture, while the "Evil Capitalism" side is represented by Joja, a MegaCorp that pollutes the area around Pelican Town with its activities, seeks to drive the local general store out of business by undercutting thier prices, and [[CommunityThreateningConstruction wants to demolish the town community centre and replace it with a warehouse]]. Pierre, the owner of the general store, falls somewhere between the two - definitely the lesser of two evils when compared to Joja, but not above shady business practices such as reselling crops the player sells to him to the townsfolk while claiming [[FromMyOwnPersonalGarden he grew them himself]], and his {{Workaholic}} tendencies are implied to have a detrimental effect on other aspects of his life.
