** The Super Saiyan form is the TropeCodifier, famous for giving the character glowing golden hair and a gold BattleAura. Interestingly, Super Saiyan 4 in ''Anime/DragonBallGT'' and Super Saiyan God in ''Battle of Gods'' are red, [[spoiler:and the form attained by combining the regular and god Super Saiyan transformations is "Super Saiyan Blue",[[note]]originally named "Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan", until the characters realised [[OverlyLongName how much of a mouthful that was]][[/note]] which is exactly what it sounds like.]]
** In ''Anime/DragonBallZResurrectionF'', [[spoiler:Frieza's new form also fits into this category. He outright says he *made* it gold, likely as a snub against Goku - only to find himself fighting Goku's new blue look.]]

* ''WesternAnimation/MyLittlePonyEquestriaGirlsFriendshipGames'': Sunset Shimmer gains this when facing off with [[spoiler:Midnight Sparkle]] when calling upon the Magic of Friendship. Considering that the last time she attempted to channel it transformed her into a demon, she's gone a long way to activate it.

* Super Sonic from ''Franchise/SonicTheHedgehog''. He is admittedly, by [[WordOfGod word of Yuji Naka]], based on Super Saiyan Goku from ''Dragon Ball''. He is obtainable by using all 7 emeralds in conjunction with 50 rings. he becomes invincible and gains the ablity to fly. Several other Super Forms in the series take on a golden hue. * This seems to be a recurring them in ''Anime/{{Shinzo}}'' as almost every important character able to transform has at least some gold in his transformed form:
** [[FusionDance Mushrambo]] normally appears as a purple haired samurai. He later gains a GoldenSuperMode aptly named Gold Mushrambo, which gives him gold plate armor and turns his hair gold.
** Insect King Daku appears as a knight with blue insectoid armor. When he powers up, his armor turns gold and becomes more ornate looking.
** Reptile King Ryuma gains golden chest armor when transforming to his SuperMode. However, he is only seen in this form for a few seconds, as he performs a FusionDance with his pet dragon soon after, turning into a largely blue humanoid dragon.
** Bird Queen Rusephine is a strange example. Her regular form looks like a golden haired angel, while her transformed state has purple hair, but gains golden chest armor and shoulder pads.
** During the battle against the GreaterScopeVillain Lanancuras, it is revealed that Mushra is actually an angel. When he remembers this, he transforms into a form that has a gold suit of armor, circlet and a pair of golden wings.

* [[Series/KaizokuSentaiGokaiger Gooooooooooooooooooooookaisilver...]]GOLD MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOODE!

to:

* [[Series/KaizokuSentaiGokaiger Gooooooooooooooooooooookaisilver...]]GOLD MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOODE!''Franchise/SuperSentai'' and its adaptation ''Franchise/PowerRangers'' have several of these:
** ''Series/SeijuuSentaiGingaman'' has the Super Armor Shine, which adds several golden bracelets and anklets to the suits. Their HumongousMecha also has access to this upgrade, which adds some golden decorations to its chest and helmet. In ''Series/PowerRangersLostGalaxy'' this upgrade is known as the Lights of Orion.
** The Super Goseiger forms from ''Series/TensouSentaiGoseiger'' add golden chest armor, bracelets and anklets to the ranger's suits. Adapted as the Ultra Megaforce powers in ''Series/PowerRangersMegaforce''
** Gai, the SixthRanger from ''Series/KaizokuSentaiGokaiger'', has access to the Gold Mode. The Gold Mode is a combination of the power of all previous Sixth Rangers and takes the shape of an anchor that folds out to be a suit of golden armor, since this series is pirate-themed. This upgrade is also used in ''Series/PowerRangersSuperMegaforce'' and named Super Megaforce Gold.

Added DiffLines:

* Subverted in ''Series/GAROTheOneWhoShinesInTheDarkness''. The GARO suit of armor is normally gold and known to be very powerful. But somewhere before this series start, it lost most of its power and in turn most of its gold coloring, becoming predominantly black. When TheHero managed to unlock its full potential, the suit was restored to its usual golden brilliance. This trope is played straight in the finale, where TheHero manages to share his golden powers with his allies, turning their armor gold as well.
