The original idea was the most "fun" members of the X-men (Nightcrawler and Kitty Pryde) form their own team of European superheroes when it appears the other X-Men are killed. They were joined by other FunPersonified characters in the process.

* This is more or less the gimmick for Percy Watson of ''{{WWE NXT}}'' season 2. He constantly dances, moves, laughs, poses and generally looks like he's out there to have a blast.

* ''[[{{TabletopGame/Paranoia}} Paranoia]]'' has been a [[BlackComedy darkly humorous]] game since its inception, though the degree of zaniness tends to vary with the specific GM involved. In the latest version of the game, however, this is codified with the "Zap" game style, which specifically caters to FunPersonified players.

* ''FreedomForce vs The Third Reich'' has the Green Genie, who manages the impressive feat of being FunPersonified by comedy [[TheSilverAgeOfComicBooks Silver Age]] [[SatireParodyPastiche Pastiche]] standards. She zooms around on a magic carpet, turning [[ThoseWackyNazis Nazis]] into flowerpots.

** Subverted with Terra in the show, whose FunPersonified demeanor is to hide that she has [[WoobieDestroyerOfWorlds BIG ISSUES.]]

* TheDCU's AmbushBug qualifies as well. He first appeared as a fairly standard supervillain, but within just a couple appearances had jumped into outright comedy, making fun of the fan obsessions of the day.

* Dr. Randy Disaster of ''GunnerkriggCourt'' counts both because he teaches the most popular class in the school, ''and'' because of his fantastic entrance: He busts into a classroom (and into the story!) with no prior warning whatsoever, and drags everyone off into a ridiculous SpaceOpera simulator.

* Lord Ikarion Daryil in [[http://www.project-future.org/ Project Future ]], a [[DanAndMabsFurryAdventures DMFA ]] fancomic. In the current arc (strip [[http://www.project-future.org/strip.php?strip=170 170]] and [[http://www.project-future.org/strip.php?strip=171 171 ]]) he celebrates his ascension to tri-winghood by cosplaying as Jesus based on Ruling Class.

* Molly the Peanut Butter Monster from ''TheInexplicableAdventuresOfBob'' A fuzzy pink girl-thing with a peppermint-striped tail, and pom-poms growing out of her head. Cheerful and childlike, she enjoys building impossible machines and writing [[CrackFic crack fanfics.]] She revels in the fact that she can run around naked because she's furry.

* In RiseOfTheGuardians, Jack Frost is this, despite his winter nature. [[spoiler:In fact, he is the Guardian of fun]].

* In RiseOfTheGuardians, [[AnIcePerson Jack Frost]] is this [[spoiler:literally]]. The Guardians, especially the Easter Bunny, think he is way too unserious to join their ranks.

* The original Marvel ''Comicbook/{{Excalibur}}'' was an example of this trope until being reimagined as just another Dark Ages X-book. * The original Nightcrawler of the ComicBook/{{X-Men}} was goofier, liked having fun, and played pranks all the time. Some of later versions of him downplay this quality or remove it entirely, [[DependingOnTheWriter depending on who is writing it]].

* ''MiniMarvels'' are notable in that ''their universe'' is this [[LighterAndSofter compared to the mainstream]] MarvelUniverse. The kicker is, all the superheroes are ''{{Peanuts}}''-esque kids, SecretIdentity is ''not a problem whatsoever'', and most surprisingly, TheGoodGuysAlwaysWin. In particular, their versions of most {{Crisis Crossover}}s always end up as [[SelfParody self-parodies]], like ''Civil Wards'', which pokes fun at the un-needed ConflictBall present in the ''ComicBook/CivilWar''.

** In New X-Men this role is taken by both Santo (Rockslide) and Megan (Pixie). Megan who is just ''too cute'' and causes hallucinations of teddy bears and unicorns...to '''{{Wolverine}}'''. And Santo is the kind of jerk you gotta laugh at, roasting marshmallows over his classmate's head, or scaring his classmate worried about being killed by EXPLODING next to him on the sofa randomly.

* And don't forget Peter Porker, the Amazing Spider-Ham.

* Mary Jane Watson of ComicBook/SpiderMan fame, before it was later revealed that this was all to cover up her insecurities and troubled life at home.

* {{Spider-Man}} is one of Marvel's Light Hearted and prominent cheerful [[NiceGuy Nice Guys]], the most upbeat of the Avengers and male Super Heroes at that. Despite his angsty and troubled life, Peter Parker most of the time takes serious and depressing situations and turns them into amusing cracks at people and humorous antics in any given time.

* RobinWilliams. The best application of this can be seen when Creator/StevenSpielberg would call Robin Williams from Poland to cheer himself up when filming ''Film/SchindlersList'' got too depressing for him.

* Nia Teppelin from ''Anime/TengenToppaGurrenLagann'', after [[spoiler: Kamina's death]].

** Which makes the [[spoiler: evil psychic clone of him]] in ''{{Nextwave}}'' all the funnier.

* In ''VideoGame/DragonAgeII'', Hawke with the Sarcastic Personality is a nigh-unstoppable screwball in charge of protecting Kirkwall, cheerfully snarking at everyone and everything in the game. Of course, we later see that this is mostly an act designed to cover up the fact they're really just a SadClown, particularly [[spoiler: after their mother's murder]].

Beware trying to make these characters DarkerAndEdgier; you'll get flack from both the people who liked them, and the people who dislike them, and don't care how many guns or pouches you strap to them.

* ''AmericanIdol'' contestant Nick Mitchell/Normund Gentle, especially with his semifinal performance of "And I Am Telling You" from ''{{Dreamgirls}}''.

* ''HarryPotter'': Fred and George Weasley. Their goal in life is seemingly to make people laugh. In ''TheOrderOfThePhoenix'', their goal becomes making SadistTeacher Dolores Umbridge [[CoolandUnusualPunishment suffer]]. Which also makes people laugh.

* TheCreeper. Just... TheCreeper.

* Rodney Skinner, the ChivalrousPervert InvisibleStreaker in ''Film/TheLeagueOfExtraordinaryGentlemen''. A ''stark'' contrast to [[CompleteMonster Hawley Griffin]], his counterpart in the original comics.
