* The trailers for ''Film/SpyKidsAllTheTimeInTheWorld'' hyped the "4D Aroma-Scope" (actually a scratch-and-sniff card) as if it were a new, revolutionary thing. The film itself came out eight years after the prior entry in the series, ''Spy Kids 3D'', and ten years since the first one. The children who were in the target audience when the original films came out were all grown up by the time ''All the Time in the World'' came out, while the children in the contemporary target audience would have probably never heard of the series before (after all, it didn't exactly stay in the public consciousness after it left theaters). As such, the franchise was remarketed as though new.

* The trailers for ''Film/SpyKids'':
** While the three original films were all made within a few years of each other and were therefore targeted at the same generation, the fourth and fifth films both had significant {{Sequel Gap}}s,
''Film/SpyKidsAllTheTimeInTheWorld'' coming eight years after ''Film/SpyKids3DGameOver'' and ''Film/SpyKidsArmageddon'' coming twelve years after ''All the Time in the World''. For both the fourth and fifth movies, the franchise was essentially remarketed as though new, and plot elements from the earlier films, especially [[Film/SpyKids1 the first one]], were recycled wholesale.
