* ''WesternAnimation/TopCat'': The episode "Rafeefleas" has T.C. and Choo Choo finishing a sentence in tandem. When T.C. calls a meeting and Benny the Ball hasn't shown up.
-->'''T.C.:''' It's always Benny. Who saw him last?\\
'''Choo Choo:''' I did, T.C., at the museum.\\
'''T.C.:''' The museum? Benny??\\
'''Choo Choo:''' Yeah. He was standing in front of a display with a big sign that said "Watch This Space."\\
'''T.C.:''' So?\\
'''Choo Choo:''' So, Benny was just standing there, (''with T.C.'') watching the space!

* A mildly amusing accidental example in "The Boscombe Valley Mystery", one of ''Literature/SherlockHolmes'' stories. Watson, working from the clues provided by Holmes, was just going to say the murderer's name aloud when he was interrupted by the hotel waiter announcing the name of the just-arrived-visitor - who was indeed the murderer.

* The fact that they've already started doing this is one of the signs Literature/BrotherCadfael notices about Torold and Godith, that tells him they've fallen head-over-heels in love.

* In ''Manga/SaintSeiya'', characters witnessing a shocking [[TheReveal]], or performing a CombinationAttack are prono to this. While the 198x anime had a few well played occurrences (Seiya, Shiryu, Hyoga against Poseidon) of this and in the manga it just works, but in the Hades Inferno/Elysion OVAs (which due to [[ExecutiveMeddling budget cuts and staff changes after the 2002 OVAs and the 2004 flopped movie]], use the manga directly as if it was an anime storyboard), you end up with the twelve Gold Saints all doing a very poorly executed, long-winded speech, which comes off as Narm.

* A variant in the {{Starcraft}} novel ''Liberty's Crusade''. Kerrigan, being a telepath, tends to finish other people's sentences out of habit, which annoys just about everyone else. When she's leaving for her totally-not-a-date with Raynor after the Antiga mission, Liberty's last bit of advice is "remember to let him finish his damn sentences".
