* The titular novella of Louise Searl's ''Literature/TheDreamEatersAndOtherStories'' features dragons, wyverns and drakes as three distinct species. The dragons have four legs and two wings, and breathe fire. The wyverns have two legs and two wings, can't breathe fire, and have stings on their tails. The drakes resemble tiny dragons, but aren't sapient and can't breathe fire (though they do have volatile blood).

* ''WesternAnimation/TheFlightOfDragons'' mainly features one body type (European body plan, with the belly part being essentially a gas balloon allowing dragons to fly -- they breathe fire to expell the gas, and head shapes don't vary much), with the notable exception of the East Asian-looking magician's own East Asian-looking dragon. The horns on the head, whiskers and scale colors vary wildly, meanwhile.

* ''Series/GameOfThrones'' had only one breed of dragons with the three ones owned by Daenerys Targaryen -- Drogon, Rhaegal and Viserion. ''Series/HouseOfTheDragon'' introduced several other breeds meanwhile, with Syrax, Caraxes, Vermax, Meleys and Vhagar all being clearly different from each other. Seasmoke, Arrax and Dreamfyre meanwhile are clearly from the same breed as Drogon, Rhaegal and Viserion (and Dreamfyre might even be the latter three's progenitor).
