* ''Film/PiratesOfTheCaribbeanAtWorldsEnd'': After a short scuffle between the British and the pirates and Jack Sparrow's daring escape from the ship, Beckett order the ''Endeavour'' to pursue the ''Black Pearl''... only for the main mast, damaged by a canonball fired by Jack earlier, to crack and fall in the background, delaying the pursuit.

** ''Series/{{Loki|2021}}'': In season 2 episode 1, "[[Recap/LokiEpisode7Ouroboros Ouroboros]]", after Loki in a flying mail truck crashes through the window of a TVA office, and the truck falls backward, leaving Loki there, an overhead, round TV screen, damaged by debris, falls from the ceiling. It doesn't happen in the background, though, and ends up being significant because the crack it leaves in the floor can still be seen, only partially repaired, after Loki time-slips, letting him understand he was in the past.

* ''Film/JurassicPark1993'': The falling object being a random ladle. Which alerts the Raptors to where Tim and Lex are hiding in the kitchen.

After they enter and close the front of the vending machine, the janitor's purchase falls out of the machine.

* The last scene of ''Series/{{Community}}'' episode "For a Few Paintballs More" has the study group watch in silence after Pierce announces his resignation. Then a piece of furniture drops from the ceiling.

* ''VideoGame/ConkersBadFurDay'' contains a parody of the gunfight mentioned in the entry for ''Film/TheMatrix'' above. Sure enough, at the end, the game faithfully reproduces the shot in which a piece of pillar crumbles to the floor. There's potentially an amusing catch, however. Unlike the original scene being parodied, in the game the pillars are only as destroyed as they became during that particular round of gameplay (when you used them for cover). It is possible to clear the scene with minimal to no damage to the pillars, and since the enemy corpses in this game fade away to save on memory, you can end up being presented with a shot of an empty, pristine lobby -- at which point the scripted shard of pillar breaks off and crumbles to the floor... emerging from a completely intact pillar.

* ''Webcomic/{{Lackadaisy}}'': Seen in over on the right side of [[http://www.lackadaisycats.com/exhibit.php?exhibitid=216 this mini comic]] as Viktor and Mordecai stand surrounded by a gang they just slaughtered, one of the bodies slumps over.
