* BerateAndSwitch: In ''Going Rogue'', a pair of comic book nerds who Stephanie helped leap into action when she is kidnapped, working together to rappel down the side of the building, enter through the window, and shoot one of the kidnappers dead. They'd never done any of that before, but they researched and practiced it as much as possible. Stephanie asks Ranger not to be too hard on them, as they saved her life. Ranger says he'll sit them down, give them a stern talking-to about how they should leave such dangerous work to professionals... then offer them jobs with his security company.

* HalfTheManHeUsedToBe: in ''Hard Eight'', Stephanie returns home and finds a DeadGuyOnDisplay on her sofa. When she asks Morellihow the killers got the body there without being noticed, Morelli grimaces and says she's probably lucky she didn't look too closely at the body's waistline: the corpse was sawed in half at the waist - probably with some kind of industrial cutter - and the pieces were carried up separately and duct-taped back together inside the apartment. Stephanie has to struggle mightily not to throw up.

** Larry the crossdressing fireman in ''Finger Lickin' Fifteen." Downplayed compared to Sally in that Larry only crossdresses as a hobby, and doesn't perform publicly in drag.
