* VillainBall: Jerry Ricks could have tasked ''any'' member of the Harvester's Guild with [[spoiler:standing guard in the church to kill the October Boy if he made it inside]], but specifically chooses Dan Shepard--for little reason other than gratuitous cruelty. It never seems to occur to him that Shepard might have a few qualms with [[spoiler:''murdering his own son'']], likely throwing a wrench in his plans. Sure enough: [[spoiler:he chooses to commit suicide rather than kill Jim, allowing him to win the Run]].
