* DiscontinuityNod: The Re'Kithnid is an extensive reference to the works of August Derleth with its author, Brianna Lethder's last name being an anagram of his. It attributes the Mythos within a Christian framework of BlackAndWhiteMorality, associates them with Medieval alchemy, and reference's Brian Lumley's character of Kthanid via an {{Expy}}. It is considered highly inaccurate in-universe.

It is one hundred years after the rise of the Old Ones. Earth has became a giant desert filled with unspeakable monsters and pockets of human survivors (along with Deep Ones, ghouls, and other “talking” monsters). John Henry Booth is a ranger of one of the largest remaining city-states when he’s exiled for his group’s massacre and suspicion he’s “tainted.” Escaping with a doctor who killed her husband, John travels across the Earth’s blasted alien ruins to seek the life of the man who killed his friends.

Great Old Ones have destroyed the rise of the Old Ones. ''Cthulhu Armageddon'' is a series by Creator/CTPhipps The books star protagonist, John Henry Booth, and his companion, Mercury Takahashi, as exiles from one of the last remaining city-states left on Earth. The books are set in the Franchise/CthulhuMythos created by Creator/HPLovecraft with elements of Creator/RobertEHoward's Hyborian Age.

The books tend to zig-zag between CosmicHorrorStory and LovecraftLite with the
world of Creator/HPLovecraft's Franchise/CthulhuMythos. The first book dying as well as humanity with it but the protagonists carrying on regardless. There is also called ''Cthulhu Armageddon'' very little that can endanger the Great Old Ones and has its tropes listed here. It is followed by ''Literature/TheTowerOfZhaal''.

Books
hope seems to be dwindling in the setting with many people struggling to figure out whether they should carry on with extinction iminent. However, everything below the Great Old Ones seems to be a great deal more vulnerable and some of the characters are able to survive things that would have killed any of HPL's protagonists many times over.

The books take a notably LighterAndSofter approach toward race and interactions with the supernatural being more BlueAndOrangeMorality versus wholly malevolent. Beings like ghouls and Deep Ones are noted to be far closer to humanity than some of the more alien creatures currently infesting the Earth. The inhabitants are also far more jaded to the surreal and supernatural than they are in times before eldritch abominations turned the Earth into an alien hellscape.
