[[https://www.youtube.com/user/Node LAN Party]] is one of many game-centric programs featured on gaming channel Node, created by Freddie Wong, Brandon Laatsch, Sam Gorski, and Niko Peuringer of Creator/RocketJump and WebVideo/CorridorDigital fame respectively, in June of 2012. After the success of their ''{{VideoGame/Minecraft}}'' mini-series, the channel quickly overtook Node's other gaming programs in terms of popularity and has become its only focus, expanding to a tri-weekly release basis. After an unspecified time, Freddie was quietly replaced by fellow member D, who has since become a mainstay in LAN Party videos.

The channel primarily focuses on the antics of Brandon, D, Sam, Niko, and on occasion other guest stars as they play video games and go on real-world adventures together. Their videos are primarily split into two categories:
* '''LAN Party''': The guys fire up their [=PCs=] and/or game consoles and play a game together in the LAN Party den. Notable entries include their ''VideoGame/AttackOnTitanTributeGame'' and ''VideoGame/DayZ'' mini-series.
* '''[[{{Pun}} MAN Party]]''': The guys go out into the real world and either play airsoft or learn a new skill, such as paragliding or riding motorcycles. Their airsoft battles make up the majority of MAN Party videos, and mostly use game modes based off of popular ''VideoGame/GarrysMod'' games, such as ''Trouble in Terrorist Town'' and ''Murder''.

!!Their videos provide examples of:
* ActionGirl: Unicorn, one of their guest stars when the crew goes to play Airsoft.
* BadBadActing: Parodied during the ''Airsoft SpyParty'' episodes. The players are supposed to be acting like [=NPCs=], and as a result everyone moves quite mechanically, [[DepartmentOfRedundancyDepartment restate the same thing multiple times]], and pause between many words for fake emphasis.
* {{Badass}}: The entire LAN Party crew, of course. Especially prominent when they go out to play airsoft.
* TheCameo: Despite being phased out, Freddie Wong appeared briefly in voice for an episode of ''DayZ''. Fans quickly noticed how [[OutOfCharacterMoment uncharacteristically mean he was during his time onscreen.]]
* DoesntTrustThoseGuys: Occasionally pops up when someone gets the "Traitor" card in ''Airsoft Trouble in Terrorist Town'' multiple times in a row. After they ''don't'' get the "Traitor" card, everyone remains wary of him/her regardless because he/she's been the "Traitor" the last X number of times.
* JokeWeapon: The spring pistol, a plastic revolver that needs to be cocked after every shot and is fairly inaccurate. It is given to a player who shoots someone on the same side as him/her in ''Airsoft Trouble in Terrorist Town''. [[spoiler:The one time Sam gets it after winning via [[KillEmAll "Scorched Earth" policy]], he wins the round with it.]]
* KillEmAll: During one episode of ''Airsoft Trouble in Terrorist Town'', Sam and D team up and invoke a "Scorched Earth" policy, which involves shooting everyone on sight. [[spoiler:It works and hands the Innocents the win, but Sam gets stuck with the JokeWeapon the next round as a result.]]
* NoFairCheating: When they played Johann Sebastian Joust from ''Sportsfriends'', Sam attempted to hide under a desk to avoid being pushed. He knocked himself out while trying to crawl underneath.
* NoPronunciationGuide: Parodied as part of their BadBadActing in the first ''Airsoft SpyParty'' episode. Sam purposefully pronounces ''{{Manga/Naruto}}'' wrong by overemphasizing every syllable.
* ShoutOut: The crew keeps a replica of Mjölnir, Thor's legendary hammer from ''Film/Thor'', on a desk on the second floor of their den. During the first ''Airsoft SpyParty'' episode, Brandon rolls over to it and pretends to be unable to pick it up.
* TheSmurfettePrinciple: If a video features any women, there's usually only one, and the rest are all guys. This tends to apply to Heldine and Unicorn.
