* [[https://notalwaysright.com/really-not-nailing-the-whole-parenting-thing/321607/ This mother]] uses "me time" as an excuse to ignore her daughter. This winds up escalating when she insists that her nail salon (one of the places she spends her "me time") looks after her daughter for her while she's there. Eventually, the salon gets fed up and threatens to ban her if she brings her daughter again. The mother's solution to this is to go to the submitter's friend, who she doesn't know that well, and is disabled and not equipped to babysit a child. When the submitter's friend points this out and refuses, the mother tries blackmailing her before getting the door slammed in her face. She then decides to leave her daughter there anyway, prompting the submitter's friend to call the police. Thankfully, this incident pretty much destroys any hope the mother had of retaining the daughter's custody in her ongoing divorce.

* [[https://notalwaysright.com/only-the-power-of-friendship-can-defeat-pure-evil/313125/ This hospital aide]] is known to constantly complain about her job, without caring if the whoever she's talking to wants to hear her story. In this story, she complains to the submitter – another aide – about how bladder-scanning isn't her job, despite it not only being her job, but something that doesn't even take that long. And despite her assuring the submitter that she's "just talking out loud," she seems visibly angered when the submitter listens to music to drown her out.

* [[https://notalwaysright.com/bye-bye-bigot/200241/ This grandmother]] offhandedly mentions that she hates gay people, and tries to use the fact that she's "old and set in her ways" as an excuse to not change her mind. The submitter promptly reveals that she's gay and tries to cut off contact with her. What ''really'' sets the grandmother up as this trope is the fact that she sent the submitter a letter to try and "change your mind about being gay" because she was "too old to change," and later tries to persuade the submitter to divorce her wife two months after they were married.
