** After learning about [[ParentalAbandonment the fate of her parents]], June keeps a photo of them holding their eggs wherever she goes.
** The piece of paper that "Odessa" found in the [[PortalBook magic Pirate Book]] turns out to be [[spoiler:an old photo of Dess and their family. Despite Dess holding a grudge against them for abandoning them and leaving them dead, they still miss them deep down.]]
** Old Justice keeps a photo of his deceased wife with him, who died from overexerting her magic when their granddaughter Power was just a baby.
** Bezier Curve keeps a selfie of him and his ChildhoodFriend Vivid Vista in his silver heart locket, whom he failed to save from suicide because she kept hiding and denying her condition to him and her family until it was too late.

* SplitTimelinesPlot: Reboot Season 73 had two alternate timelines that were viewable by a special watch invented by Billy: the "Alpha" timeline where [[Literature/TheMagicSchoolBus Mikey]] and Music/{{BTS}} were friends after overcoming their respective traumas in Reboot Seasons 52 and 60, and the "Beta" timeline where they weren't because their traumas still lingered. Both timelines were given equal focus during the season, and while BTS and Mikey suffered in both, they had it worse in the Beta timeline.

* ParentalAbandonment:
** Both Mimi and Arcturus lost their parents at a very young age: the former never saw hers since they hid her egg when the "bad people" invaded her home, while the latter saw his being killed by Blackblood's soldiers before Arcturus was kidnapped by ??? [[spoiler:(actually Dark Bale)]]. Thankfully, both of them were HappilyAdopted by 6k1 and Billy, respectively.
** Alex's father Flint, who was a Charizard and a famed rescuer, passed away before Alex met Aaron. He also never knew his mother growing up because Charizard couples leave it to one parent to raise their children. Alex's teammate Tokage also lost his parents when he was younger, but he was later HappilyAdopted by Proteus.
** Reggie and Lizzie Dawnshire had loving parents, even if the latter supported Snow during his regime. They then neglected their kids when they worked at Neon Quarters before dying in the destruction during the Multiversal War. Thankfully, Dave and Fira rescued Reggie and Lizzie during their mission to save [[Anime/PuellaMagiMadokaMagica Sayaka Miki]] and decided to [[HappilyAdopted adopt them as their own.]]
** Marian's parents passed on before her introduction, and because of this, she can't ask them about [[spoiler:her half-Alebrije heritage.]]
* ParentsInDistress: Les and Reba got kidnapped by Dark Stanford not long after they reconciled with their daughter Wanda, and she must storm his lair in [[Franchise/{{Metroid}} ZDR]] to rescue them.
* PastLifeMemories: The nominators who participated in the Games in the OT generally remember it fully after surviving the Great Destruction. Only a few tributes from that timeline, usually those who have RippleEffectProofMemory such as time travelers like [[VideoGame/{{Undertale}} Frisk]], recall it too, because the dimensional rips leading to the Reboot Timeline cause brain damage and wipe the memories of those who pass through them. The OT nominators[[note]]barring 6k1 and Dave, who already have the immunity[[/note]], Franchise/{{Kirby}}[[note]]the one loyal to Mr. Star[[/note]], and CAC'S VideoGame/RushingBeat friends[[note]]though one can assume that he simply informed them of the OT after the jump[[/note]] are among the few without RippleEffectProofMemory to have their minds survive the jump between timelines. Billy, despite joining in the Reboot, also remembers the OT and how he survived the Great Destruction.
* PerilousMarriageProposal: At the Alebrijes' Land of Dreams, [[spoiler:Joaquin]] promised to marry [[spoiler:Veena, who's being atomized by Dark Stanford,]] after the mission to protect the Hypnos-Stone is all over, knowing that [[spoiler:she'll come back after it since she'll [[AndIMustScream just be contained in a beaker as a dormant liquid until her atoms are restored.]]]]
* PersonAsVerb: Ichi and Power's deep, intimate friendship ended up influencing Oscar and Lucian's that Aaron has affectionately called the latter's friendship "Ichistroking".
* PerspectiveFlip: The main thread's about the tributes fighting each other to death, while ''Convergence/ASAS's'' about the lives of the nominators, or the people sending in the tributes, along with their closest allies.
* PlaceBeyondTime:
** Being a spatial and temporal amalgamation of every possible universe, time doesn't make sense in the Voidlands. It's possible for it to be morning in one section and night in another, and time travel isn't possible there.
** Tempest Zone doesn't seem to operate on a normal timescale with the rest of the 'verse, and Ylva says that clocks don't work there. It's also implied that there's a timeskip to ''after'' the season at the Tempest Zone whenever their tributes are revived, explaining why from the perspective of the reader, they ''appear'' to be eliminated from the Arena immediately after their deaths without making any posthumous appearances[[note]]they actually do, but mostly offscreen[[/note]].
* PlanetOfHats: The Bugtrio and the Fiery Blue Wings went to a parallel version of Whispering Pines for their day trip, where everyone is either a clone of Henry or transformed into him. [[spoiler:They discover that this world's Henry became a corrupt prince who [[AssimilationPlot was manipulated by Evil Phoebe into transforming his subjects into his likeness and forcing them to worship him]] as payback for kicking him out of the island.]]
* PolarOppositeTwins: Between the [[Franchise/{{Pokemon}} Vaporeon]] Twins, [[EnergeticAndSoftSpokenDuo Penny is hyperactive while Jenny is reserved.]]
* PortalBook:
** Played with: [[WesternAnimation/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagic Twilight Sparkle]] uses books from other worlds as the [[WesternAnimation/MyLittlePonyEquestriaGirls Crystal Mirror's]] power source so she can go to those worlds through it.
** The Database Library has traditional Portal Books in its Restricted Section to ensure that visitors, especially young children, don't accidentally get lost inside them.
* PortalNetwork:
** One of the primary ways of travel between universes is through portals, and this is how most tributes enter Panem. Some nominators can [[ThinkingUpPortals summon them on their own]], like Dave, Mett, and Elliot. In addition, Billy's servants, George and Kayla, can summon portals, too.
** The [[VideoGame/{{Deltarune}} Fountain of Darkness]] in Castle Town serves as a Multiversal portal for Ralsei, which opened itself to the Games after Kris and Susie sealed the Eastern Fountain in Card Kingdom and left. Its magic can also retain visitors' forms whenever they travel to worlds with FisherKingdom effects.
* PreInsanityReveal: A flashback scene reveals who Blood Moon used to be before he turned insane. [[spoiler:He was close comrades with Fire Eyes and Brave Spear since they were young [[Franchise/{{Metroid}} Mawkin]] warriors, but during a dangerous mission on their home planet, Blood Moon was infected by an X Parasite and [[KillTheOnesYouLove was forced to kill his lover, Brave Spear.]] After Blood Moon fused with the X, his mind was warped with the parasite's primal instincts to feed on and infect others, and [[TheMourningAfter he never got over his murder of Brave Spear as a result.]] Blood Moon then used his insanity to torture and threaten Knox into doing his bidding, lest he get eaten as punishment. That is, until Knox managed to resist Blood Moon's attempted MindRape on him with the encouragement from Joaquin's soul inside Knox.]]
* PrivacyByDistraction: When 6k1[[note]]as a unicorn[[/note]] was having her friendship lessons with [[WesternAnimation/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagic Twilight]], she heard that "Bright Stardust"[[note]]who was actually Dave disguised as a unicorn[[/note]] would be visiting her. Not wanting him to intrude on their conversation, 6k1 told Spike to tell him once he arrived that Twilight was busy having a meeting with a census reporter named Bar Graph. She also removed her necklace, but felt that "Bright" would see through her PaperThinDisguise anyway since her scar showed through her pelt.
* PronouncingMyNameForYou: A variation where someone teaches another character how to pronounce a third character's name: When Old Justice met CAC's DistaffCounterpart, he thought of calling her "Stacy" because it rhymed with "CAC". Cue the following exchange:
--> '''The Smol One''': What? 'Stacy' doesn't rhyme with 'CAC'.\\
'''Robin''': He's pronouncing it 'CAC', not 'CAC'[[note]]"KAK"[[/note]].\\
'''Old Justice''': That's what I meant, 'C-A-C', 'Stacy'!
* ProtectiveCharm:
** Because they don't have it naturally, Power and Paper ordered RippleEffectProofMemory charms from Billy to protect their minds from forgetting tributes that are [[RetGone erased from existence]].
** After the [[VideoGame/{{Deltarune}} Delta Warriors' mission in the Cyber World]], Ralsei made amulets containing the essence of the Fountain of Darkness to protect the Darkners from [[spoiler:turning into stone outside Castle Town since the Arena's protective magic until that point faded away.]]
* QueerEstablishingMoment:
** Towards the end of CVG, after helping her crew get rid of the Sphere Doomers at her base, Tabby got flattered when Andromeda carried her in her arms, hinting that Tabby's a lesbian.
** At one point in ASAS, CAC casually told his VideoGame/RushingBeat friends that he's aroace, and how he felt uncomfortable when he dated [[VideoGame/ChronoTrigger Lavos]], [[VideoGame/MortalKombatDeception the One Being]], and [[VideoGame/{{Yakuza}} Kazuma Kiryu]] in Reboot Season 2. He believed that the Arena temporarily made him feel romantic/sexual attraction towards them that season.
** When CAC nominated the bisexual flag for Season 272, Strawbrey looked at it and Letooce awkwardly and wondered why CAC "called [the former] out like that", implying that she identifies with the flag.
* RandomEventsPlot: Much like how the events of every season are randomized, the various arcs in the thread vary wildly. Between parties, rescue missions, nominators and tributes just hanging out together, and [[BreadEggsMilkSquick villainous organizations planning Multiversal domination]], there's no real MythArc other than the misadventures the main characters have besides watching the Hunger Games.
* RealityChangingMiniature: There's a miniature version of the solar system in the Voidlands that affects the real deal when someone interacts with them. When Valecor first visited it, he pretended to eat the mini-earth, causing the real one to go dark during Snow's party. He then shot down the mini-sun in his second visit, blotting out the real earth's sky for six hours before Reboot Season 68.
* RecursiveCanon: Because ''anything'' can be a tribute, both the universe where a tribute resides and its respective work can coexist. For example, 6k1 reads the ''Literature/HarryPotter'' books while nominating tributes from the Wizarding World, which she visited once to return Charlie Weasley to his family after being [[RetGone erased from existence]] in Reboot Season 133.
* ReptilesAreAbhorrent: The reptile-themed Reboot Season 125 featured reptile characters being horrible to each other in all manner of ways including a villain league composed entirely of them, but fourth-place finisher [[WesternAnimation/LittleBear No Feet]] was an especially notable case as the character, canonically a rare snake aversion to the trope, became such an [[TheUnfettered unfettered]] ManipulativeBastard that it bordered on AdaptationalVillainy. He was ultimately the BigBad of the season who tricked [[Music/StrayKids I.N and Changbin]] into killing each other.
* RequestForPrivacy: Before Dave got discharged from the Science Center's Recovery Room after his injuries from the failed attempt to raid Zorua's base had healed, he requested everyone but 6k1 to leave so that he could ask her on what to do after he realized that Fira had a crush on him.
* RescueArc: The nominators often go on rescue missions to save fellow nominators or tributes that were captured or banished into other dimensions or points in time.
* ResurrectionDeathLoop: "Timewrecking" involves forcing the victim to drink the [[Franchise/TouhouProject Hourai Elixir]] to grant them immortality and then repeatedly killing and reviving them through a myriad of ways. Such a fate is considered [[AFateWorseThanDeath worse than death]] because it's difficult to escape from like a ''ship''wreck, but [[Music/{{BTS}} Kim Taehyung aka V]], [[VideoGame/LegacyOfKain Kain]], and the [[VideoGame/FireEmblemThreeHouses Black Eagles]] were luckily rescued by [[Franchise/TouhouProject Yukari]], Billy, and 6k1, respectively. Timewrecker and his forces were also subjected to this [[KarmicDeath as punishment for their atrocities]] during Villain Month but were [[TimeLoopTrap trapped in the loop for all of eternity.]]
* {{Retcon}}: Originally, Timewrecker analyzed the Arena in Reboot Season 68 and concluded that all the weirdness inside was residue from the Voidlands' creation because the Arena was in the epicenter of the Great Destruction. However, this was retconned in ASAS into either a mistake in his calculations or a lie about them because it didn't explain why the Arena behaved that way in the OT. It was revealed towards the end of CVG that the Gamemakers send a signal to the tributes to subconsciously manipulate them into behaving erratically.
* {{Retirony}}: Coatl, the Elder of the Alebrijes' Land of Dreams, planned to pass the crown to [[spoiler:his nephew, Knox, after the latter's late father (and Coatl's brother) Sebastian gave up his Alebrije powers to become a mortal coyote. However, Coatl declared Knox unfit for the throne for trying to steal the Hypnos-Stone and eating Alebrije souls, so he planned to pass the crown to Knox's adopted son Joaquin instead. Unfortunately, Coatl was then infected by an [[Franchise/{{Metroid}} X Parasite]], turning him into a mindless beast controlled by it and [[DeathOfPersonality killing the "real" him]] before he exploded from being defeated by the heroes.]]
* RidiculouslyCuteCritter: The Starbles are mischievous furball creatures that can eat almost anything in one gulp and without ill effects, shoot twin lasers from their antennae, and also heal wounds with them. 6k1 and Billy both own them as pets, and they both gave them a lot of trouble until they were equipped with muzzles and {{Translator Collar}}s.
* RidingIntoTheSunset: {{Lampshade|Hanging}}d by Shelley when Odessa's pirate crew sails into the sunset after their adventure in the [[PortalBook magical pirate book.]] They decide to turn the ship around so they can hang out in the realm a little longer.
--> '''Shelley''': "If we go into the sunset, does that mean the story is over and we leave?"
* RobotBuddy: Zorua, 6k1, Bale, and Nine-Tailed Cat all have robot assistants, [=N0V-4=], the Databot (aka Ally), Xochi, and Majel, respectively, that help them with their jobs.
* RollercoasterMine: [[VideoGame/{{Deltarune}} Ralsei]], Aaron, and James rode on one on the way to rescue Lucian, which crash-landed into the room where Kris was being held captive by Morgan, knocking out the latter during his fight against Susie.
* RonTheDeathEater:
** InUniverse. [[Music/{{BTS}} Jimin]] literally became a [[Literature/HarryPotter Death Eater]] during Reboot Season 60, as a result of being severely traumatized by how his bandmate, V, was killed by [[VideoGame/TheBattleCats Miko Mitama]], allowing [[Literature/HarryPotter Voldemort]] to corrupt him. He even got [[Series/{{Arrowverse}} metahuman]] powers too.
** [[ConversationalTroping Discussed]] by Power and Ichi when she shared with him her favorite fanfic, ''Fanfic/WhiteBox''. She didn't like that [[spoiler:[[WesternAnimation/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagic Princess]] [[BigGood Celestia]] was implied to be the bad guy]], which was a common trend for fanfic writers back in the day.
* RuleOfDrama: [[ConversationalTroping Discussed]] by Power and [[VideoGame/{{Undertale}} Alphys]] when they were researching about data clones for the latter's cloning machine project and their callout for 6k1 about her thoughts on the matter. Alphys thought of modifying the clone so that they're as difficult to retrieve as the original if they died in the [[ThereIsNoKillLikeOverkill V Incident]] to "preserve its integrity", but Power shut it down, believing that 6k1 must accept that its shock value has to be sacrificed for her tributes' safety. They'd still preserve the other events because they understand that she'd want to keep some aspects of the Games in some way.
* RunningGag:
** 6k1 being exasperated every time absurdly large group tributes are nominated.
** [[Music/StrayKids Lee Felix]] [[BerserkButton going berserk]] whenever he sees someone not following his [[PleasePutSomeClothesOn ridiculously high fashion standards.]] [[RunningGagged However]], he eventually [[MyGodWhatHaveIDone regretted it after the Stays weren't pleased with his actions]] in Reboot Season 79, remembering what Terminus warned him of when he fought him in a warehouse.
** Aaron the [[Franchise/{{Pokemon}} Lucario]] having to be careful not to impale people with his chest spike when hugging them, though he has since [[RunningGagged drank a potion to remove it.]]
* ScienceFantasy: ''CVG/ASAS'''s genre could be considered this, as the diversity of the universes the tributes come from allows for a harmonious blend of both magic and technology, though it leans more in favor of the former.
* ScrewThisImOuttaHere: During 6k1's vacation, [[VideoGame/{{Undertale}} Sans and Papyrus]] were confronted by their old enemy Flowey[[note]]who's from another Underground where he wasn't aware of the Genocide Timeline[[/note]] along with [[WesternAnimation/GravityFalls Bill Cipher]] in front of their house. They summoned their Gaster Blasters at them for offering them to form an EnemyMine against one or the other, and also for Bill pulling a cruel prank on them by flooding their house with swamp water. When Flowey transformed into his Photoshop form and Bill set their house on fire, they both made a run for Waterfall. Needless to say, they were ''[[{{Pun}} boned.]]''
* SeeWater: During the treasure hunt section of the [[WesternAnimation/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagic Las Pegasus]] funhouse, the room's magic passively granted the non-aquatic participants and those not wearing snorkels like Pinkie Pie underwater vision.
* ShareTheMalePain:
** In Reboot Season 95, the ''entire music fanbase'' was forced by Terminus's droid to collectively strike Dave Rogers in the groin. The scene was so painful to watch [[ExaggeratedTrope even Power, a unicorn mare, felt it.]]
** It happened again in Reboot Season 135 when ''the Multiverse'' punched [[Manga/{{Naruto}} Sakura Haruno and Sasuke Uchiha]] in their groins, causing Dave, Fira, and Hans to scream in unison. Power and [[VideoGame/{{Undertale}} Alphys]] also winced at the sight, but tried not to scream because they were watching in the Database Library.
** It also happened outside the Arena when Freyja, who was disguised as "Laura" in New Durango, kneed Scipion in the groin. All the men in the group who were assigned to retrieve [[VideoGame/{{Undertale}} Asriel's]] ring from the 'Brijes winced at the scene.
* ShowWithinAShow: President Snow has a [[SubvertedKidsShow "children's" show]] named "Future of Panem", which is just propaganda about him killing everyone who opposes him.
* SickeningSlaughterhouse: Snow's train passed through one while taking the nominators to the Arena for the 1st Reboot Nominator Games. The passengers, especially Starfall, Power, and [[VideoGame/{{Deltarune}} Ralsei]] (who were two ponies and a goat, respectively), were understandably grossed out by the livestock being slaughtered right in front of them.
* SimpleSolutionWontWork: Because the Tempests are {{Domain Holder}}s, the smol one suggests just using that power to conjure medication for their untreated ADHD. Mintleaf, baffled that she hadn't ever considered this, tries it immediately, but it doesn't work, seemingly arbitrarily -- she chalks it up to [[MediumAwareness "fourth-wall reasons".]]
* SinkingShipScenario: While [[VideoGame/{{Deltarune}} Noelle and Berdly]] were sailing aboard Benji's ship to Danjor Island, the former worried about how the Delta Warriors were doing fighting [[Franchise/{{Pokemon}} Kyurem]] outside the Expedition Society HQ. She {{imagine|Spot}}d herself and Susie reenacting ''Film/Titanic1997'', even its sinking, [[NotHisSled but unlike in the movie]], Susie, [[FurryReminder being a reptile]], froze to death before she could swim towards Noelle and the big piece of driftwood she was floating on.
* SkewedPriorities:
** Ichi is more concerned about seasons being delayed than whatever dangers are looming over Panem, even the Multiversal War.
** When 6k1 revealed that she was pretending to be Power at Haze's Halloween party, her guests, who were playing along with her, took offense that she used her disguise to lie to Bale about her thoughts on data clones... while [[VideoGame/{{Undertale}} Papyrus]] was surprised that [[ComicallyMissingThePoint her "ears" were detachable.]]
** In Reboot Season 133, Ally was more concerned about Ultimate finally showing himself after being reclusive for so long than his brief fight with Psyche in the Arena.
** When [[spoiler:Silas]] threatened to possess him, Henry was more afraid of his reputation being tarnished and [[WardrobeWound his tabard being stained]] than being psychologically damaged or forced to hurt his allies. [[spoiler:He ended up eating his own words when Silas went through with the threat by [[GrandTheftMe forcing his soul out of his body before possessing it.]]]]
** [[Roleplay/WeAreAllPiratesRevenge Belissima]], a vain ChestMonster, was more upset by her appearance being ruined when [[spoiler:the Voidlands Franchise/{{Metroid}} snatched her away and dropped her after destroying Eye-Sicle's lair.]]
* SnapBack: After Reboot Season 81, when [[Anime/PuellaMagiMadokaMagica Bebe]] dipped herself into [[Franchise/{{Kirby}} Magolor's]] vat of literal [[invoked]] SugarWiki/SweetDreamsFuel, she transformed into Nagisa. However, she was back to being Bebe in the Sayaka Mission with no explanation on how she transformed back.
* SpaghettiKiss: Lucian and Oscar invoked this on June and Aaron during their Christmas party at the [[WesternAnimation/LooneyTunes Looniverse]] by stringing a candy necklace around their necks and watching them eat the opposite ends.
* SparedByTheAdaptation:
** In Reboot Season 41, the entire Legion of Doom got electrocuted by the Forcefield because of [[GravityScrew gravity reversal]], but in ''Convergence'', some of the members survived thanks to GASK and Valecor's intervention.
** Franchise/{{Kirby}} almost always escapes certain death in the Arena despite the main thread stating that he died. {{Subverted|Trope}} in Reboot Season 144, where [[VisualNovel/Danganronpa2GoodbyeDespair Kazuichi Souda]] ate him along with Ribbon in a primal craze, reducing them to souls.
** [[Literature/HarryPotter Errol]], the Weasley family owl, was presumed dead by the end of his source material because of his old age, but in ASAS, he was alive and well when 6k1 nominated him and Pigwidgeon for Reboot Season 129. After his revival, Errol delivered Arthur's letter to her after Season 133 to request the revival of his son Percy[[note]]his other son Charlie was [[RetGone erased from existence]], so he didn't remember him going to the Arena[[/note]].
** In ''Roleplay/WeHaveAllBecomePokemon'', Lyric was MIA after April's death but whether he died or not was unknown, but in ASAS, he's alive and well, but his family hasn't heard from him since he abandoned them after the tragedy. That is, until June encountered him when he tried kidnapping Oscar and Lucian.
* SpotTheImposter: To test her disguise revealer, 6k1 conducted an experiment to determine which of her tributes and staff members were shapeshifted into others and zap them with it. She used different methods to find the impostor such as looking for distinguishing features, noticing if they break character or are suddenly incompetent with their disguise's powers, and [[SpotTheThread finding inconsistencies in their claims.]]
* StargazingScene: Mr. Star's birthday happened during a meteor shower, and the guests were all invited to watch it. Power took this opportunity to invite Ichi to watch it with her for her early birthday celebration, too.
* StealthPun: One of the ways to revive a tribute is by reversing time on their body to restore their original state, which Billy's staff does as standard procedure if the body is irreparably damaged. In other words, time ''literally'' heals all wounds.
* StockAnimalName: The [[Franchise/{{Pokemon}} Sharpedo]] guard at the Blue Orb Shrine is named Film/{{Jaws}}. {{Lampshade|Hanging}}d by Lugia:
--> "Not a very original name, I know."
* StorefrontTelevisionDisplay: 6k1 and Power found one while shopping for Christmas gifts in a mall in Seoul, letting them catch up with Reboot Season 78's Battle Royale.
* {{Teleportation}}: Another means of going around various worlds is by teleportation. Some tributes can do this naturally, while others and several nominators use teleporters. Teleport pads are also used to make deliveries.
* TheyChangedItNowItSucks: InUniverse. While data clones and their close equivalents had become widely accepted as temporary substitutes until the Simulator is implemented, some fans of the Games were upset about them. They complain that they don't "feel the same" as the originals despite the benefits, and in the case of inorganic replacements such as Android Ichi for the 4th Reboot Nominator Games, they think that their performance would still be affected.
* ThinDimensionalBarrier: The Webking House has a crack-shaped [[https://the-magnus-archives.fandom.com/wiki/The_Gap_in_Reality gap in reality]] by its terrace wall, where characters from other universes (such as Libre from the ''Roleplay/TropersTheSeries'' universe, and Klug and Sig from the ''VideoGame/PuyoPuyo'' Fever universe) can end up in the main universe ''Another Side, Another Story'' takes place. [[spoiler:In actuality, this gap was made by a rogue [[VideoGame/LibraryOfRuina W Corp]] worker that had escaped to Panem, which is possible because W Corp weaponry can do {{Portal Cut}}s.]]
* ThreePlusTwo: The main [[VideoGame/{{Deltarune}} Delta Warriors]] are composed of Kris, Susie, and Ralsei, but after they got Noelle and Berdly's help in defeating Evil Phoebe and [[spoiler:Vahirom]], Noelle and Berdly swore their loyalty to them, and they officially recognized them as honorary members. This team is now called the ''Expanded'' Delta Warriors when Noelle and Berdly are included.
* TimeTravelEpisode: Reboot Season 125 involved [[Music/StrayKids Yang Jeongin aka I.N]] receiving a warning from his future self about the dangers he would face in the season, and also that something bad would happen to his bandmate Changbin. This haunted him for the entire season, and he got bullied by the other tributes despite seeking comfort from Changbin, who then [[WesternAnimation/SpongeBobSquarePants became a petty villain over constantly failing his driving test.]] Towards the end, [[WesternAnimation/LittleBear No Feet]] tricked both I.N and Changbin into killing each other in a literal BattleOfTheBands, and I.N ran away and covered his eyes from the [[Film/MontyPythonAndTheHolyGrail Spanish Inquisition]] Arena Event. Upon realizing that he was the last one standing, he requested to travel back to the first day [[StableTimeLoop to warn his past self of what he had been through.]]
* TimeyWimeyBall: The fact that [[NarniaTime time works differently across different places, resulting in discrepancies around them]], especially [[WebcomicTime in regards to Panem's time compared to that of]] [[RealLife Earth Prime]], tends to be {{lampshade|Hanging}}d, especially when [[AgeLift time-shifted]] tributes are nominated. This leads to Earth Prime holidays being celebrated on the same Panem day, and that's without mentioning the TimeTravel aspects, which can vary from one user to the next.
--> '''6k1''': Hey, Multiversal time is confusing, so don't think too much about it.
* TimeZonesDoNotExist:
** {{Averted|Trope}}, since Ally mentioned the Capitol following Mountain Standard Time since it's located in what used to be Wyoming. Additionally, the Arena has its ''own'' timezone due to the day-night cycles being controlled artificially. However, this gets [[ZigZaggingTrope zig-zagged]] when several universes, which run on their own timezones, inexplicably have the same timezone as Panem in certain plots.
** The fact that most universes run on their own timezones became a plot point when CAC had a nightmare where he was berated by voices encouraging him to kill himself for [[KnightTemplar his outdated extremist views against all villains]], and then [[SuicideByCop he allowed Dark Stanford to atomize him for his crimes.]] [[WesternAnimation/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagic Twilight Sparkle]] wasn't able to [[DreamWalker rescue him from his nightmare]] because it was around noon in Equestria when he had it, and Twilight only does dream duty when it's nighttime for her.
* ToiletHumor: When Scipion was on the fence about attending Bale's Christmas party, he considered sending some gifts over to the guests there so he wouldn't bother them with his presence. This gave Morgan an idea:
--> '''Morgan''': What are you going to offer them? Shit?\\
'''Scipion''': No, not shit. Chocolate. Everyone likes chocolate.\\
''[He furiously growled when Morgan grinned further.]''\\
'''Scipion''': No. Chocolate ain't shit, Morgan. I know they're of the same color but still...
* TournamentArc:
** One of the events during Bale's party was a ''VideoGame/SuperSmashBrosUltimate'' tourney, where seven pairs of fighters faced each other in one-on-one matches before fighting in a free-for-all in the championships. [[WesternAnimation/PhineasAndFerb Ferb Fletcher]] was crowned the champion towards the end of the party.
** Scipion hosted a Franchise/{{Pokemon}} tournament for his party, [[spoiler:but it was crashed during the semifinals by [[VideoGame/{{Undertale}} Flowey]]]].
* TrainingThePet: Mimi's overall character arc involves 6k1 training her to be more behaved and control her [[ExtremeOmnivore insatiable appetite.]] Despite challenges such as Mimi's puberty granting her new powers and her falling in love with Arcturus, 6k1 successfully tamed Mimi as she grew up.
* TreasureHuntEpisode: The travelers at the [[Franchise/FindingNemo Great Barrier Reef]] explored the ocean to look for treasure that's believed to grant them superpowers but cursed them with a terrible illness for all of eternity if they weren't worthy of it. [[WorthlessTreasureTwist It was just a legend, however, and the treasure did nothing, but everyone took some of it home as a remembrance of their adventure.]]
[[/folder]]

[[folder: Tropes U-Z]]
* UniversalUniverseTime: While all the universes follow their respective time systems due to time flowing faster or slower than Earth, the nominators follow [[RealLife Earth Prime time]] to keep track of events.
* UnusuallyUninterestingSight: The citizens of Panem have gotten so used to seeing tributes of various species fighting in the Arena that most of the time, they don't bat an eye whenever they see them outside it. They still panic whenever supernatural disasters are caused by them, however, like when [[spoiler:[[VideoGame/EarthBound1994 Giygas]] emerged in Neon Quarters and caused {{Mind Rape}}s that could be felt as far as District 1's neighbors]].
* VacationEpisode: In Reboot Season 56, 6k1 decided to take a long-overdue vacation to the VideoGame/{{Under|tale}}ground with [[WesternAnimation/BigHero6 Baymax]] and ComicBook/HarleyQuinn, mainly to visit the former's [[ParentalSubstitute mother figure]] Toriel. She also planned to explore the rest of the place, but had to cut it short due to Flowey[[note]]who was from another Underground since he isn't aware of the Genocide timeline[[/note]] and [[WesternAnimation/GravityFalls Bill Cipher]] presumably attacking Snowdin Town.
* VengefulVendingMachine: {{Exaggerated|Trope}} in Reboot Season 60, where it was one of the ''[[ThereIsNoKillLikeOverkill many]]'' ways [[Music/{{BTS}} Kim Taehyung aka V]] was killed by [[VideoGame/TheBattleCats Miko Mitama]] -- by being trapped inside a vending machine, or in other words, a ''[[StealthPun V-ending]]'' machine. Coincidentally, [[Literature/HarryPotter Lord Voldemort]], who would then recruit V's bandmate Jimin as a Death Eater, also got trapped in one shortly before V was timewrecked, but he managed to get out using magic.
* VirtualTrainingSimulation:
** Both Billy and Bale have simulation rooms in their Mansion and base, respectively, where they can train themselves or their tributes, with Natalie Smirnoff operating Billy's. Bale has another room which simulates Hunger Games events, and the user can choose what kinds to experience.
** Hans also planned to reverse-engineer the [[Franchise/CompilationOfFinalFantasyVII Worldwide Network and its Synaptic Net Dive (SND) system]] for a personal simulator after [[VideoGame/DirgeOfCerberus Shelke Rui]] visited him in Dave's Home Base. This was eventually implemented in the Warehouse's simulation room, which 6k1 used to test Ally's functions [[spoiler:after it was rebuilt from the [[VideoGame/TheLegendOfZeldaBreathOfTheWild Blights']] destruction of it.]]
** The Science Center's testing chamber has a transformation gun that not only transforms the target into a different species, it can also transform the entire room into a simulation of any environment.
** Dark 6k1's lab has a simulation room inspired by [[WesternAnimation/SheRaAndThePrincessesOfPower Light Hope's]] where she and Dark Power train themselves to get stronger or test their disguises.
* VoicesAreMental:
** Normally the case for [[WesternAnimation/LiloAndStitchTheSeries Swapper]] when he swaps the bodies of his targets, but crossed over with VoicesAreNotMental when he swapped [[Roleplay/WeHaveAllBecomePokemon the Bugtrio]] around. Because she lost her voice in an attack, Tenn regained her deep, feminine voice when she swapped with Henry, but Shelley was rendered mute when she swapped with Tenn.
** Played straight in Season 253 when [[WesternAnimation/{{UP}} Dug]] and [[Franchise/{{Transformers}} Starscream]] temporarily switched bodies. Because Dug needs his TranslatorCollar to talk like a human, his human speech wasn't transferred to him when he switched bodies. Thus, he could only bark in Starscream's body (albeit with an ElectronicSpeechImpediment) while Starscream found Dug's translator redundant since he spoke in his normal voice in the latter's body.
* WhatDoesSheSeeInHim: Said almost word-for-word by Starfall when he confronted [[WesternAnimation/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagic Discord]] about his alleged relationship with Fluttershy, to try distracting him after he pranked Power during her assertiveness training with the pegasus. Discord [[SheIsNotMyGirlfriend denied being in love with her]] and got furious at Starfall calling him out for his immaturity, which distracted the draconequus long enough for Fluttershy to find him and call him out the same.
* WhatDoTheyFearEpisode: The extreme path in Freddy's haunted house had Skyler exploiting the challengers' fears to frighten them to the near death. Here, it's shown that James is afraid of bugs, especially {{spiders|AreScary}}; Arthur is afraid of Mimikyus; Tenn is afraid of being transformed into a Kyurem again and being [[spoiler:forced to [[KillTheOnesYouLove kill her loved ones]] as one]]; Henry is afraid of becoming an arrogant despot like his counterpart in the alternate Whispering Pines; Miss Ball is afraid of failing to save her loved ones from danger; while [[TheUnReveal it's not revealed what]] [[Roleplay/WeAreAllPiratesRevenge Melody's]] afraid of, but from the looks of her in the entire challenge, whatever it was frightened even someone as courageous as her to the core. [[spoiler:It's later revealed that she's suffering a ShapeshifterIdentityCrisis, and Ira comforted her over it and gave her his Scale Cove pendant to help her remind herself who she is on the inside while taking on another form.]]
* WhyDontYouJustShootHim: When [[WesternAnimation/{{Ninjago}} Pythor]] teamed up with "Spoon", [[WesternAnimation/{{Ninjago}} Overlord, and Skales]] to kill [[VideoGame/{{Deltarune}} Berdly]][[note]]the one that was rescued from Eastboroughshiressex[[/note]], the LEGO python saw "Spoon" instantly make Berdly's door disappear. Pythor asked "Spoon" why he couldn't just make Berdly disappear the same way if he can do that, but "Spoon" says that it doesn't work on living things and also prefers watching them suffer under him.
* TheWindowOrTheStairs: After President Snow's party, he offered the nominators to take either the "relaxing" route or the "exciting" route to the Arena for the 1st Reboot Nominator Games. Some of them took the former, knowing the latter was an obvious trap, but their supposedly relaxing train ride turned out just as disastrous as it.
* WorldOfWeirdness: Thanks to the Gamemakers remodeling the Arena for the Multiversal Hunger Games, bizarre and improbable events happen in it and the tributes inside frequently. Their nominators often chalk up their unusual behavior in it as "Arena magic/influence", which is technically true because the Gamemakers send a signal to their minds to subconsciously manipulate them into doing what they do.
* YearInsideHourOutside:
** From the tributes' perspective, the average season lasts around a week or more, but to the viewers, they usually last from around a few minutes to a few hours[[note]]and even then, the runtime along with the broadcast schedule is inconsistent [[WebcomicTime to account for time passing on]] [[RealLife Earth Prime]][[/note]]. This is because the Gamemakers adjust the time in the Arena to trick the tributes into thinking that they're inside it for days instead of minutes or hours. [[TimeyWimeyBall And that's not counting all the time-warping events that can happen in the Arena.]]
** When Bale trained with [[Franchise/UltraSeries Ultraseven]] in preparation for his fight against [[spoiler:Dark Bale]], he spent a year in the latter's universe while only 12 hours passed back in Bale's base. This technically made him 24 years old instead of 23 when his Earth Prime birthday rolled around after that.
* YearOutsideHourInside:
** When 6k1 spends time in the past to gather information for the Database, what seems to be a few hours time hopping is actually several days in the present. Depending on how long she stays, 6k1 sometimes misses seasons because of this.
** Due to [[TimeCrash time itself being broken in the Voidlands]], both this trope and YearInsideHourOutside can happen at the same time. While several weeks have passed in the Reboot Timeline, only 1 hour had passed since Valecor, Kavaxas, and [[WesternAnimation/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagic Queen Chrysalis]] entered the Voidlands to retrieve the souls stolen and/or eaten by Scipion after Reboot Season 50.
* YouAreBetterThanYouThinkYouAre: After [[HouseFire the Database Library was set on fire]] by [[invoked]] [[MemeticMutation LOLW]] in Reboot Season 63, 6k1 [[HeroicBSOD fell to her knees and broke down crying, wondering where she went wrong as Manager.]] Her assistants gave her a hug, and several of her nominator friends such as Ichi, Dave, Mr. Star, Billy, and even ''[[HiddenHeartOfGold Scipion]]'' comforted her, reassuring her that she can bring herself back, and that they're always there to help her out. Even her tributes [[WesternAnimation/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagic Twilight Sparkle]], [[VideoGame/{{Undertale}} Toriel (and 6k1's honorary sibling Frisk)]], and [[VideoGame/{{Deltarune}} Ralsei]] gave her words of encouragement, motivating her to spring back into action.
* YouMustBeThisTallToRide:
** {{Inverted}} in the [[WesternAnimation/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagic Las Pegasus]] Arc, where Twilight had to shrink Cleo in order to fit in the ferris wheel. The spell lasted a good while before Cleo started growing back to normal, but Twilight's attempted spell recasting failed from successive use. Luckily everyone inside got out before Cleo destroyed the cab, but she accidentally [[SquashedFlat squished Wanda Banks]] on the way out.
** Played straight in the [[WesternAnimation/StevenUniverse Funland]] Arc, where Peridot sat out of riding the Appalachian with Wes and Millie because she was too short for it, so instead, she had Lapis carry her so she can watch them.
* YourMindMakesItReal:
** Paylor's Simulator, which she implemented starting in Season 258 and [[VideoGame/{{Undertale}} Alphys]] reverse-engineered for 6k1's Cloning Capsule, is a hyperrealistic VR simulation of the Hunger Games. The tribute can feel what their data clone feels in the Arena live, but they can die from the shock of their clone's death depending on its severity and the user's mental-emotional stability. Due to the sheer trauma one suffers from being [[ThereIsNoKillLikeOverkill timewrecked]], the VR user will ''always'' die in real life if their data clone dies that way.
** When [[WesternAnimation/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagic Twilight]] {{Dream Walk|er}}s, whatever happens to her in a dream doesn't affect her in the waking world, except for dying [[spoiler:and being forced to wear the Dark Bracer by "Rodriguez" since it also appeared on her body back in Canterlot Castle.]] This was {{inverted|Trope}} when Spike's experiments with [[spoiler:the Dark Bracer]] affected her in the Alebrijes' Land of Dreams, which unwittingly worked in her favor since she was able to [[spoiler:[[CoincidentalDodge dodge]] [[VideoGame/KirbyAndTheForgottenLand Fecto Elfilis']] attacks.]]
