* The chapter begins with Pyra giving Rex a LapPillow while she waits for him to regain consciousness.

* Nia revealed her true colors when she was enrage upon witnessing Jin's act of killing Rex. This pivotal moment led her to wholeheartedly align herself with Rex and Pyra's side, especially after Rex was miraculously revived.

* After his demise, Rex's primary concern was not for his own fate, but rather the safety and well-being of his guild mates who were now in jeopardy by Jim and Malos.

* Learning about the reason why Rex sends the majority of his salary to his village, Nia states that every person she has met is selfish by nature. However, Rex might be the first person she has met who isn't.

* During the Beneath the Aurora mission, Len finally succeeds and asks his love to marry him, and according to the female Blades that have been chosen, it went well
** If Mythra was chosen, she asks Rex pretty clearly if he will ever get around to proposing to her. After understanding her, Rex states it will take a good long while before he gets around to it. While Mythra calls him hopeless, it’s sweet that Rex actually considers marrying her in the future.

* In one option, Rex states he likes it better when Azurda is small because for once, he could give his gramps a ride and love the opportunity to spend more time together as they couldn't before when he was big. Azurda find himself pleased with the comment (despite finding Rex's helmet a tad cramp).

* Even though Mythra ruins Zeke’s image of Addam because he can’t handle spicy food, the fact that Mythra has fond memories of her old Driver and the cute childish habits he had is quite endearing.

* Even though he might not be a true blood relative to the village, Rex comes to see them as his family after caring for him when his parents died.
* When Pyra stated she wishes she had a big family like Rex (seeing as she has no biological family) with Rex proudly declares that Pyra is his family.

* PlayedForLaughs and cringe, but the reason Pyra is willing to listen to Tora’s guide to win men’s heart is because she believes it would make Rex happy.

* Vess meets with her previous Driver’s family (his two kids) who understood why she wouldn’t remember them and found a new Driver already. But Vess, having this strange feelings from the past, asks if she could come from time to time to visit them, and they become excited to see her again
* The two family members openly stated how much of a great mother figure Vess was to them, especially after their biological mother had passed away. When offered her famous dumpling, they were almost brought to tears by the memories they had of Vess’ cooking.

* Tora question his worth as a fighter, and if Poppi would be more effective with another driver. After unsuccessfully trying to convince him that his fighting is fine, Rex and Nia just ask Poppi what she would do if Tora stopped being a driver. Her response? She'd probably break down and cry. Cue Tora immediately back-pedaling on his previous claims.

* Gramps reveals that when Rex was little, he defended a fellow kid from being eaten by a monster. While they had to rely on an adult for help, it’s sweet to know that while Rex was a wild child, he was still ultimately kind, even as a kid. Gramps even said that despite even being small as a child, he had a strong sense of justice despite often losing
* Gramps even said the reason Rex cried wasn’t that he got hurt, but because he couldn’t even help the kid. Pyra and Nia are pretty impressed with Rex's bravery at a young age

* Rex later returns the favor from the previous lap pillow by giving one to Mythra at the beginning of the chapter after being separated from the whole party after falling into the Land of Morytha, waiting for her to come to before going off to find their friends.
* Rex and Mythra bonding when she wakes up in his lap in the Land of Morytha. Its quite a nice scene to show how she has softened and opened up to openly saying she cares about Rex, as most earlier scenes focused on Pyra's feelings for him. Its at this point you can also start getting a post-battle conversation where Pyra or Mythra (after transforming back from Pneuma) will tell Azurda how Rex warms her soul.
* While walking, Rex asks how Pyra is doing after the whole ordeal. Mythra reveals she’s sleeping and wonder if Rex wants to talk to her. Rex decides it’s best to let her sleep after everything she has been through. Mythra gives a simple smile and thanks Rex for the consideration

* Amalthus attempts to take control of Mythra, only for the latter to reject his control once again. When demand to know why she refuse to be controlled, Mythra loudly declare that she’s Rex’s Blade, not his.
* Malos gives Jin a hug and whispers something in his ear that makes Jin stop to ponder peacefully for a bit. Whatever was being said, it's clear that the two share a strong bond of companionship, despite everything they've done.
* At some point in the game, Rex, Pyra and Nia gain a special Level 4 combo attack with all three teaming up to fight any foe. With Nia openly stated she belongs with them and Pyra saying that their bonds are one.

* What is Rex's ideal dream within his nightmares and doubts; living a happy and simple life with Pyra and Mythra in his home village. Nothing grand, nothing wealthy, just being with the two women he loves. Extra point with having Pyra and Mythra being in separate bodies, showing that Rex truly sees them as two people rather than the same person as he claims to Zeke earlier in the game
** The fact that Pyra and Mythra immediately stop the test and comfort Rex when he breaks down just shows how much the two cares about him and can’t bring themselves to hurt him.
** The reason Rex is so torn about his ideal dream because he felt he doesn’t deserve it when everyone else is suffering. Even when he got what he wants personally, Rex still thinks about others first.
** During the dinner, Mythra is acting very nice and considerate to Rex, even wanting to cook for him and do anything to make him happy. Showing that deep down, Mythra truly loves Rex and was the first one to rush to Rex, comforting him when he breaks down crying.
** While firmer than usual, Pyra just wants what’s best for Rex and even lead him to the dinner that she prepared with all of his favorite food.
* After learning what Klaus has been through and despite being the reason he went through a mental prison, Rex could not help but thank him for creating him and the people he loves. For the first time in centuries, Klaus could not help but feel happy, believing he did do something right.

* Learning about the reason why Rex sends the majority of his salary to his village, Nia state that every person she met are selfish by nature. But Rex might be the first she meets that isn’t.

* The beginning of the chapter has Pyra giving Rex a LapPillow while waiting for him to come to.
* As she was being captured by Morag, Nia told Rex and the party to save themselves. Nia only knew them for roughly two days and begin to view them as her friends.
* They return the favour by bursting Nia out of jail. With Rex refusing to give up either Pyra or Nia to Morag’s forces.
* After the chaos, Rex asks Nia if she wants to come along with their quest to find Elysium. While unsure at first (being concerned over Pyra's true nature), Nia does, however, comes around when Pyra makes her laugh by saying she could not backstab Rex (because she doesn’t have a knife).
* Rex stated his two reasons for wanting to find Elysium; as a sign of gratitude for Pyra saving his life and to end a upcoming war. Pyra could not help but feel touched by Rex's declaration.

* Seeing that the play brought up painful memories, Nia asks Rex to go and check up on Pyra, caring about her mental well-being.
* A small one, but while Rex is in mourning over Vandham's death, Nia made sure the unconscious Pyra is okay.

* After Vandham funeral, Pyra came to comfort Rex and apologizes over Mythra's behavior. Rex understood Mythra's point of view and accepts it. When Pyra talks about how her powers is pale in comparsion to Mythra's, Rex said her power is still amazing and he could feel it.
** Rex tells Pyra that she has nothing to apologize about and she should forgive herself over her past mistake with the Aegis', showing Pyra that Rex might be the first person to never fear her for her intense dangerous abilities. And how it could be used to help others.

* Pyra is very excited to see the hometown Rex was raised in. Wanting to learn more about his family and friends back in the village he grew up in.
* Corinne being a ShipperOnDeck for Pyra and Rex, telling her a story about how Blades and Drivers used to get married back in the old day. Her “subtle” hint that she doesn’t mind if she marries Rex, much to Pyra’s blushfulness.
* On a side note, Pyra helping Corinne clean the dishes and thanked her for looking after them.
* Rex is a little disappointed to find out how much Mythra praised Addam, not seeing himself as an ideal Driver or hero. Pyra, however, stated that Mythra said that he and Addam are quit alike, making Rex blush.

* As Rex mours the death of Haze, surprising Nia, Mythra was the one who wanted to comfort Rex but Pyra told her that she needed to give Rex some space. Showing that Mythra really cares about Rex mental health.
* PlayedForLaughs, but when Pyra is slightly bothered by Nia using her as warmth, the latter states it’s because she’s so warm, which leads to Pyra smiling a little.

* After the party saves Pyra from Tantal, Rex comfort the tired Pyra who smiled back at him, happy to see him come all this way to save her.

* During their journey to the Crucible, Nia talks to Rex about her past, with Rex stating that he likes her today and shouldn’t worry about her past
* When confronted by a hooded figure on why he fights, Rex gives a simple answer. For Gramps, Nia, Tora, Pyra and Mythra.

* The Real Gramps:

* Chapter 4
** After Vandham funeral, Pyra came to comfort Rex and apologizes over Mythra's behavior. Rex understood Mythra's point of view and accepts it. When Pyra talks about how her powers is pale in comparsion to Mythra's, Rex said her power is still amazing and he could feel it.

** At the Lemour Inn, Mythra hits Rex in the forehead after thinking he snuck into her room while she was sleeping (she was actually sleepwalking and ended up in the ''boys'' room). Afterwards, Pyra ever-so-sweetly tries to nurse Rex's bruise in a scene that's both touching and fan-servicey. (Although, she ''does'' mention having [[{{Synchronization}} her own headache from that night]]...)
** Rhys and the other [[DoomedHometown Cordell]] orphans, whom the group meet when one of them, Rhys, steals Roc's Core Crystal from Rex, prompting them to pursue them back to Gormotti Province. After retrieving the crystal, [[AllLovingHero Rex]] offers to hear the orphans out. When they learn that the bandits that razed their village are planning to attack Torigoth, Rex offers to stop them, especially since [[NiceJobBreakingItHero he and his friends, by defeating the consul, have effectively left Torigoth vulnerable]]. After leaving the defeated bandits to the Ardainian army, Rex brings the kids to Goldmouth, where he convinces the workers to let them on as apprentice salvagers, even citing their skill with their "[[ChekhovsSkill quick fingers]]". Rhys is surprised and very grateful. Even better, if you check on them over the course of the story, Rhys and the others slowly get into salvaging, even retrieving a rare item (given the regular gear they were using) that they pass on to you.

** ''En route'' to the bandits' hideout, Rex finally re-summons Roc in order to clear a miasma storm blocking the way. Once he's done, what's the first thing Roc asks Rex? What kind of person his old Driver was. After being told, he promises the team that he will strive to be a Blade that his former Driver would be proud of, despite no longer having any memory of him.
** A HeartwarmingInHindsight example that takes place in the hot springs: Nia asking Mythra to keep her Flesh Eater nature a secret from the others, and Mythra agreeing.
** At Mor Ardain, Tora and Tatazo finally reuniting, and [[{{Tsundere}} Mythra]] tearing up a little at the sight. And when Rex offers her something to dry her eyes, she gratefully takes it.
** Despite having said that there's no hope of freeing her, Tatazo throws himself between Poppi and Lila, since Lila is all that he has left of Soosoo, Tora's grampypon. After Lila breaks free of Bana's control device, Poppi catches her, telling her, "I very proud of you, sister."

Pandoria tells the story in a very teasing way, much to Zeke's chagrin, but then notes that she really loves Zeke, which is why she's able to mess with him the way she does.
** After the party saves Pyra from Tantal, Rex comfort the tired Pyra who smiled back at him, happy to see him come all this way to save her.
* Chapter 7
** At the beginning of Chapter 7, after Rex's DarkestHour where he plans on giving up, following up on Nia and Brighid each giving him a rather percussive GetAHoldOfYourselfMan, it looks like Poppi is going to follow that up with a MegatonPunch... only for her to tap her knuckles against his head, gently put her hand on his cheek, and give him a tearful RousingSpeech that helps pull him out of his funk.
** During their journey to the Crucible, Nia talks to Rex about her past, with Rex stating that he likes her today and shouldn’t worry about her past
** When confronted by a hooded figure on why he fights, Rex gives a simple answer. For Gramps, Nia, Tora, Pyra and Mythra.
** Nia finally accepting her nature as a Blade in order to protect those she loves, and declares her love for Rex. And even though [[ObliviousToLove Rex]] is being Rex, she takes it in stride.
** Nia's relationship with her father. Most of this is revealed in Chapter 7 coinciding with the Blade reveal, but it's clear that despite her father's ''very'' heartbreaking (and creepy and weird) reaction to Nia's sister's death, Nia ''still'' cared deeply for him, showing that he tried his very best to treat Nia like a nobleman's daughter despite the elephant in the room.
** Addam's messages. Despite all the pain he went through in the DLC as Mythra's Driver, he NEVER blamed her for what happened to Torna. He lamented the fact that he was scared of her power and that he passed that fear onto her, and his greatest wish was for her to find the person who would be able to fully accept her.
** Rex’s speech to Pyra and Mythra. They are begging him to stop, saying that their goal this entire time was have the Architect [[DrivenToSuicide let them die]] once they reached Elysium. But Rex responds that the entire reason he set out was for them, and that he feels their pain. He promises them he won’t let the world burn a second time, and this causes Pyra and Mythra to finally let go of their suffering.
** Rex takes his AllLovingHero tendencies to new heights when he unlocks the Aegis' true power and finally has [[WorldsStrongestMan Jin]] on the ropes. Rex has the opportunity to finish Jin off, but notices Jin's eyes twitching with despair [[TheStoic exactly once]]. This is enough for Rex to completely give up on [[EasilyForgiven wanting to pay Jin back]] for [[DistressedDamsel kidnapping Pyra]], [[FalseFlagOperation setting Mor Ardain and Uraya against each other]], and even [[InTheBack killing Rex himself at the start of the game]]. From this point on, Rex utterly refuses to kill Jin and in fact [[EnemyMine invites him to join the party]] for a short time while Jin is injured, despite being told repeatedly that showing Jin mercy will not make him change his ways or abandon his own goals. Rex openly admits that he's giving Jin the chance to stab him again, but he [[ThePowerOfTrust trusts that it won't happen]]. All because of ONE. TWITCH.

** Though its a bit of a TearJerker, Poppi makes [[ICannotSelfTerminate Mythra promise to destroy her]] should she ever endanger Tora or even the entire world.
** When being rescued and with ample opportunity to kill Rex and the team, [[HonorBeforeReason Jin prevents Torna from firing]], even going so far as to temporarily short out the systems; likely as recompense for the times Rex saved his life despite the fact that they're enemies.
** Despite being cold to her earlier in the chapter Jin takes a moment to tell Brighid that [[ThrowTheDogABone she's exactly like she was 500 years ago]].
* Chapter 9

And later when the party does defeat Malos, Rex openly mentions that if only he was able to bond with Malos's Core Crystal like he did with Pyra maybe they could have lived peacefully as friends, with Malos replying "kids say the darnedest things" not completely against the idea.

The [[AwardBaitSong music]] definitely helps, especially with how the final verse is timed to accompany Pyra's and Mythra's resurrection and LoveConfession.

** The fact that Pyra and Mythra immediately stop the test and comfort Rex when he breaks down just shows how much the two cares about him and can’t bring themselves to hurt him.
** The reason Rex is so torn about his ideal dream because he felt he doesn’t deserve it when everyone else is suffering. Even when he got what he wants personally, Rex still thinks about others first.

* The ending: not only does Klaus, in his final moments, make all the Titans form a new mainland, an "Elysium" for humanity to live in, but Pyra/Mythra's core crystal reactivates, [[EarnYourHappyEnding finally giving them and Rex a much earned happy ending]]. The [[AwardBaitSong music]] definitely helps, especially with how the final verse is timed to accompany Pyra's and Mythra's resurrection and LoveConfession.

** The scene where Rex, Pyra and Mythra are having a nice dinner seems like this... until you remember what was happening just a few minutes ago to Rex. Thankfully, Pyra manages to get Klaus to stop the whole thing before it gets too harsh on Rex.

** Rex later returns the favor from the previous lap pillow by giving one to Mythra at the beginning of the chapter after being separated from the whole party becomes separated after falling into the Land of Morytha, waiting for her to come to before going off to find their friends.

** After the chaos, Rex asks Nia if she wants to come on their quest to find Elysium. While unsure at first (being concerned over Pyra's true nature), she does, however, comes around when Pyra makes her laugh by saying she could not backstab Rex (because she doesn’t have a knife.)

** Rex's {{Adorkable}} moment at the end of Chapter 2, where he tries to deny indirectly calling Pyra pretty by complimenting the fire that she made. She smiles, and the two of them continue to enjoy watching it burn bright.

** When they first make camp with the party, Dromarch positions himself behind Nia, who settles back against him without a second thought. Later, Nia is seen flopped on top of him, sleeping soundly. It shows how close their bond really is [[ShowDontTell without a word of dialog]].
