* Even though Katy had pushed her down the stairs that morning, Elsie comes to see her after her accident. She closes the blinds and opens the window so that Katy can feel some relief from the harsh sunlight that had been filtering in, and even starts fanning her with a palm leaf. Katy is close to tears as Elsie shows her all the little trinkets and gifts she's collected from the rest of the children for Katy. Katy finally starts to realise what a sweet little girl Elsie really is, and promises that she can play with Clover, Cecy and herself from now on. Elsie even trusts her with the secret that Cousin Helen had told her.
