* Andy’s mother is adamant on Al not buying Woody despite his persistence as she knows how much he means to Andy and isn’t going to let someone buy him that easily.

* A HeartwarmingInHindsight case, while Stinky Pete being sentenced to "play time" with an "artistic" young girl was designed to be a comeuppance, side media revealed he had come to like his new owner. It seems LoveRedeems.

* The entire plot was pivoted by Woody's desperation to save Wheezy, a fellow broken toy, from being thrown into a yard sale.
* The scene where Stinky Pete ends up with that girl from the airport is seen as funny karma for his actions but it is also heartwarming when you think about it.
** Earlier in the film, he lamented how he had to sit on a shelf for years as he saw every other toy beside himself get an owner. Now he finally has an owner to love him and play with him. When the girl sees him, she's ''delighted'', and seems eager to have fun with him.
** The girl's Barbie seems happy to meet him, and brightly says that he'll really like the kid. It's quite possible that after he gets over the shock (and the makeovers), they might be able to become friends.
** Supplementary materials confirm that Pete cares for his new owner and even enjoys being made up now, meaning he found his own happiness at last.
* When Woody's arm is ripped and he gets shelved before Andy goes to Cowboy Camp without him, Mr. Potato Head explains the situation to Rex with genuine concern in his voice, a [[TookALevelInKindness far]] [[CharacterizationMarchesOn cry]] from the bitter {{Jerkass}} that he was in the first movie.
** When Al steals Woody, Mr.Potato Head even says "Get him Buzz!" supportively as Buzz gives chase.

* Andy fixing Woody's arm at the end, especially after Woody was worried that he'd be abandoned because of the broken arm. Andy also reveals that the only reason he didn't take Woody to camp was that he was afraid the entire arm might come off if he did.

** When Al steals Woody, Mr.Potato Head even says "Get him Buzz!"supportively as Buzz gives chase.

** WordOfGod, however, states that he took the job for free, just because he considered restoring a toy like Woody ‘’that’’ high an honor.

* Buster's EstablishingCharacterMoment. At first it sounds as though he is TheDreaded, causing everyone to hide. When Buster does show up he does trash the room a bit and grabs Woody. Just when we think that he is gonna pull a [[WesternAnimation/ToyStory1 Scud]] on him, he instead licks Woody affectionately, causing Woody to unfreeze and laugh. He even timed how long it took Buster to find him, implying this wasn't the first time they played hide and seek. This shows that much like Andy is to Sid, Buster is the good counterpart to Scud.

* When the toy restorer comes to fix Woody, he treats Woody like an actual customer. He fixes a bib around the cowboy's shoulders, rests his hat on a tiny stand, and even polishes his boots. It's slightly marred by him painting over Andy's signature and the fact that he's getting paid, but you have to admit the man shows more care for Woody than Al does. Also, he had no way of knowing that Woody still belonged to Andy aside from the signature which very easily could have been an owner he had from a long time ago.

* When the toy restorer comes to fix Woody, he treats Woody like an actual customer. He fixes a bib around the cowboy's shoulders, rests his hat on a tiny stand, and even polishes his boots.
