* Even though it's hopeless, Sif wants to continue fighting the Destroyer and die a warrior's death so that stories will be told later of that day. Thor says to her "Live, and tell them yourself."
* Thor helping Jane serve breakfast to Darcy and Erik. It really showed [[CharacterDevelopment how far he'd come from the arrogant warmongering prince]].

It's topped off by Jane's expression, like she can't believe someone would do something so gentleman-like for her.
* When Thor decides to stop [[spoiler:Loki]]'s plot by [[spoiler: destroying the Bifröst Bridge]], he protests because [[spoiler: Thor will be unable to reunite with Jane.]] [[AlternateCharacterInterpretation Of course,]] he ''is'' a very manipulative liar, so he might have just been trying to stop him for his own reasons.
** Manipulative liar or not, when people panic they usually end up saying the first thing that comes into their head. With that in mind, you have to admit it's slightly heartwarming that this was what Loki first thought of instead of, "I need that!"

Then there's Loki's response: a surprised, almost gratified smile. You really get the feeling that they do care about each other, and that Loki never really [[spoiler: wanted the throne for himself- he just didn't want Asgard to have a reckless king, which Thor admittedly would have been, if not for his experiences on Earth.]]

You've got to admit despite his [[TheCharmer nature]], it was a rather cute little moment.

* All the moments displaying Thor and Sif's bond in a more subtle way were rather well done in this aspect. Him mentioning that he supported her desire to become a warrior, their individual reactions to the other getting killed/about to get killed by the Destroyer, her happiness about being reunited with him or seeing him be revived, him trying to convince her to retreat since he knows she'll sacrifice herself and die if he doesn't, her troubled expression as she is one of the few people who notices and recognizes that Thor is grieving at the end of the movie, etc. The fact that [[http://screenrant.com/thor-movie-jaimie-alexander-sif-rothc-113443/all/1/ the writers intentionally used those scenes to hint that there might be more to Thor and Sif then just friendship]] is simply icing on the "aww, look, they ''do'' care" cake.
