* In 'Todd Packer,' Jim and Dwight hatch a plan to get rid of Packer for good by tricking him into thinking he's been given a job by corporate in Talahassee. Michael is outraged when he finds out, is all set to tell Packer the truth...and then Packer makes a fatal mistake by insulting Holly. You can ''see'' the moment when Michael's whole demeanor changes and he shifts into TranquilFury. Michael has blissfully excused his friend's crass behavior for years, but this is one thing that he will ''not'' tolerate.

** There's a deleted scene where Pam calls Jim's room and learns that Cathy's there. It cuts to the two of them talking about the situation and how they both know what's obviously going on. Pam's trust in Jim never wavers during the conversation, a sweet moment to the strength and trust they have in one another.

In addition to Michael and Dwight at the closing ceremony, he also gives Kevin a medal for his M&M eating game that, according to Angela, he was the only one who played.

* In third season's "Branch Closing", when everyone in the office learns that they're keeping their jobs because it is the Stamford branch that is closing and not theirs, Kevin and Angela, of all people, immediately hug each other out of relief, with the huge smile on [[PerpetualFrowner Angela's]] face particularly telling.

While this act in itself is heartwarming, the real heartwarming moment comes when Michael and Dwight (who have been waiting for the CFO to return home all day) discuss their favorite moments from the office. Dwight's favorites include his first day, his first sale, the basketball game, and Michael driving him to the hospital. Dwight then asks what Michael's favorite moments were:

In the last scene, we see Michael, visibly upset at home over having to make this decision, before ending on him opening up the door and happily greeting some trick-or-treaters. A more quiet, subdued moment in the show, and one of the first throw-a-bone moments for Michael.

\n** Perhaps the most heartwarming moment in this episode is Michael and Pam's final, inaudible exchange. Jenna Fischer has revealed that she was, in fact, saying goodbye to Steve Carell out of character- and crying for real.

* "Christmas Party" shows us a lot of JerkAss , selfish behaviour. In particular, Michael hates the present Phyllis gave him: an oven mitt she knitted. Phyllis is dejected through the rest of the gift exchange. When Meredith sees this, she takes the oven mitt during her Yankee Swap. (Of course, it's after the iPod is unavailable, but still).

** Andy makes a dumb excuse to his girlfriend when he's breaking up with her to cover that he's leaving her for Erin, during which Jessica lists a bunch of mean things Andy had said about Erin before to explain why he wasn't with her. Things are tense between Andy and Erin on the road home afterwards until Andy decides to turn his car around, drive back to Jessica and admit the truth to her, taking back every bad thing he'd said about Erin. Maybe not the nicest thing to do from Jessica's perspective but it made Erin very happy and got their relationship off to a much better start.
* Dwight manages to swipe a DNA sample of Angela's baby Phillip. When Angela finds him waiting for the results, even though it will take at least a day, she sits with him and they hold hands. Then they kiss.

* Erin supporting Andy throughout "Angry Andy", helping him calm down to stop him from losing his temper and when he DOES lose his temper later in the episode anyway, she loses her temper with him. Heck, she encourages him to lose it because she can see how much he's struggling to stay calm.

* Cathy's efforts to get Jim to cheat on Pam with her are [[NoSell completely ineffectual.]] He ends up getting Dwight to spray his bed with chemicals (the latter believing there are bugs about) to force her to leave. * Andy and Erin finally get back together in "Get the Girl". Erin's concern for the family she had been staying with before running after Andy deserves a mention, as does Irene's encouragement to Erin to give him another chance.
** From the same episode, Jim holds out longer than anyone else in just blindly accepting Nellie stealing Andy's job by just [[RefugeInAudacity walking into his office and claiming it]] (albeit this may be a little less out of loyalty to Andy and more indignation with the illogical nature of her employment).
* "Welcome Party" has Jim and Dwight helping Nellie unpack her boxes and inadvertantly learning about her past difficulties in both her work and her personal life. Jim then spends the rest of the episode doing everything he can to undo the office's prior decision to throw her a really mean-spirited welcome party. Pam also follows his lead on this even though she doesn't understand why.
