* Ned and his companions have a surprisingly warm and insightful (on both sides) meeting with Septon Daeron and both Ned and Daeron give each other some comfort over their respective worries and both indulge in some acts of charity. Also, despite a potential BrokenPedestal-inducing up-close look at the leaders of the Faith of the Seven, the pious Gerant asks Daeron for a blessing as they part ways and makes it clear that he still respects him a great deal.

** When Tywin arrives at Harrenhall and speaks disapprovingly toward Tyrion, Aeron steps forward and praises his friend's cleverness to his father. Unsurprisingly this does not move Tywin at all, and Aeron is clearly very nervous and stammering when talking to him, but the fact that he likes Tyrion enough to stand up for him against a ''very'' powerful and intimidating man is quite touching.
