-->'''Watts:''' I had a feeling.

* Right before this, after Keith and Amanda have left the party (after Duncan and friends showed up to "liven it up"), Amanda takes a long look at Watts waiting for them at the car. In a fine piece of acting by Lea Thompson, you can literally see Amanda making perhaps the hardest decision of her life: the decision to be alone and on her own for the RIGHT reasons, and not with someone just because she feels insecure without a boyfriend. It's something you rarely see in a teen film: a character growing right in front of you, and becoming a better person. It's not that Amanda was a bad person (in fact, she was a quite decent person all along), but right there, you can see her become a GREAT person, on her own terms. She didn't have to have someone else force her to do it, or have some event require her to choose. She did it all on her own. It's the thing that sets up the ending for Keith & Watts. As much as you get the nice fuzzies watching K & W finally get it all right, I always loved the shot of Amanda in the background, finally getting what she deserves: self-respect. That for me was the ultimate heartwarming thing; a character rewarded for making the unprompted Right Decision, not just for others, but for themselves.

* The ending. After their BigDamnKiss, Keith gives Watts the expensive earrings Watts told him to buy for Amanda.
-->'''Watts:''' I wanted these. ''(laughs)'' I really wanted them.
-->'''Keith:''' They're yours. ''(Watts starts putting them on)'' You knew you're gonna get these.
-->'''Watts:''' No. I didn't. I hoped. I didn't know.
-->'''Keith:''' You knew.
