* When child!Nemo [[spoiler: [[TakingAThirdChoice runs away from the train station]] and into a forest and blows on the leaf that eventually leads to Anna reuniting with his future self at the lighthouse.]]
* In the midst of the GainaxEnding, [[spoiler: the last images we see is the possibility of Nemo's parents simply NOT divorcing and instead warmly kissing each other, and thus child!Nemo starts enjoying a PuppyLove with little Anna skipping stones at the lake]].
** In the timeline with comatose teen!Nemo, his parents are visiting him together at the hospital, possibly reuniting with each other after the near-loss of their only child, and presumably feeling partially guilty for causing this accident due to them breaking up. * "Every path is the right path", the silver lining of the story is that in the end, EVERY choice we'll ever make will ''always'' result in moments of tragedy and accidents due to the unpredictable nature of life, but also in moments of pure joy and true happiness, so it's no use arguing which is less tragic and which is more joyous. We have no way of knowing (and even Nemo knowing doesn't make it any easier to choose), so it's better to just experience it and make the most of it even when things don't go as planned.

** Elise crying about the birthday party of her daughter downstairs, but then having a resolve and coming down to have fun with her and the guests, successfully having a good time for herself and her kid. After the party is over, Elise and Nemo happily sleep together with all their children in the same bed.

** It's also implied that the most fulfilling choices are the ones done from the bottom of your heart: the Jean timeline in which Nemo decided to marry her and doing everything to have a safe and perfect wealthy life out of spite of being rejected by Elise at the prom has resulted in Nemo growing so unfulfilled and jaded that he decides to seal his fate with coin flips, longing for the feel of random chance. Nemo standing by Elise and waiting for Anna aren't painless, but he did so out of love, resulting in moments of true happiness and fulfillment that his forced rich life never had.

* Nemo as a teenager deciding to admit that he doesn't know how to swim when rejecting the invitation of coming to swim with the other kids. Teenager Anna decides to lie about having a period to a friend in order to keep Nemo company.
* Even though in the alternate timeline Nemo's dad would've likely gotten a nurse, it's still heartwarming to see teen!Nemo taking good care of him as his physical state worsens, helping him shower and balancing his life between work and his science fiction writings.
